The hôtel has a typical bavarian look and the people are very welcoming. Very nice location, at walking distance from the lake and not far from Starnberg and Tutzing (accessible by car (10min) or S-bahn which is 5min from the hôtel). Proximity with the S-bahn also allows a day-trip to Munich (c. 40min by train). The breakfast is hearty with bavarian and german staples. The restaurant in the evening serves really amazing food with bavarian classics that were absolutely wonderful (best Kartoffelsalat i ever had).

Coming from NZ this is exactly how we imagined a small village guesthouse might be. It was wonderful and we loved the surroundings and the rooms. Very modern bathrooms and spotlessly clean. The attached restaurant was great and we enjoyed sitting outside drinking beer and wine. Perfect!

Feldafing is a good starting point for excursions around Lake Starnberg, the Alpine foothills, and Munich. Bakeries, supermarkets, drugstores, and restaurants are easily accessible by car. It's otherwise a quiet village with good public transport connections to Munich.

Feldafing itself doesn't have much to offer, but it's a good base for visiting Munich (S-Bahn connection) and Andechs Monastery. The beach and beer garden in Tutzing are also recommended.

Feldafing was perfectly located, as Starnberg, with its overcrowded streets, feels like Munich (far too much traffic). There's a suburban train station right there, so you can easily travel to Munich if you want.

House located at the heart of Feldafing. Feldafing is a nice, calm and peaceful place to stay, also nearby to Munchen. Shops are closeby and also there is a parking space. Flexible and easy check-in, everything uncomplicated. 2 bathrooms are enough. There is a nice patio/terrasse but we couldn't use because of season. Walking distance to golf club, lake and big park. Kitchen is well equiped with nespresso machine. Andrea and Torsten are great host.

Location excellent. Lack of kettle, poor wifi and excessive outside noise from people on one evening was very bad. Lack of insulation meant that room above one could hear when people were walking around early in the morning (5am). No facilities available for guests arriving on closed days eg Wednesdays. With no restaurants available in Feldafing at present, this is a major factor. Breakfasts were good.
