We had a wonderful stay at Murgperle. The place is a good base to visit nice cities and beautiful nature. Gernsbach itself also has a nice (old) center. The apartment is very neat and has everything for a nice holiday. The owner is very nice and helpful. We can highly recommend this apartment!

Good location for exploring Gernsbach and the surrounding area. Nice apartment and great that it had a washing machine. Can recommend visiting the tourist information centre in Gernsbach; the staff were very helpful.

The village is remarkable and very well located! At this time of year, with the added bonus of the Christmas lights, it was magical in the evenings! We enjoyed the Indian restaurant there, where the meal was delicious and the welcome warm. Walking through the charming little streets was a real pleasure.

The old town is worth a day exploring.

The old town is worth a day exploring. Short hikes, for example to Eberstein Castle, offer many scenic viewpoints. Eberstein Castle has a great beer garden. The visitor's card includes free use of public transport, which isn't really necessary for Gernsbach, but the train journey to Freudenstadt through the Murg Valley is worth a day trip in itself.

A beautiful town on the Murg River, nestled in the valley, with a charming old town featuring a stream, lovely parks, a diverse culinary scene (try the Syrtaki!), and a fantastic view of the castle. There are also many great places to visit nearby (Baden-Baden, Hohenbaden Castle ruins, Kaltenbronn raised bog...). Highly recommended!

Gernsbach is well worth a visit.

Gernsbach is well worth a visit. You can enjoy fantastic hiking in the forests, and with a guest ticket, you can easily explore the surrounding area by bus or train. There are plenty of restaurants with delicious food and friendly service. Shopping opportunities are plentiful. The public transport network is very well developed.

A well-maintained old town on the Murg River, with beautiful half-timbered houses, cozy restaurants, and a historical walking tour. Unfortunately, there are many vacant properties in the old town, and Katz'scher Garten is a major construction site. Overall, there are many construction sites throughout the town. Good public transport connections.

Gernsbach has a beautiful old town with charming restaurants. Restaurants Dubrovnik and Brüderlin are highly recommended. Gernsbach is also a great starting point for day trips, for example to Strasbourg, Baden-Baden, Freudenstadt, Baiersbronn, or even Karlsruhe.

It is a delightful house, very spaceous and quiet. Ideal place to get around in the area. Gernsbach is quite close (45 minute walk/ 10 minute ride with car) and the sightseeing places are within driving distance. The house has a very nice set-up, with a balcony and cutlery, pans and plates for cooking. The fridge is perfect as well as the atmosphere in the house. Getting inside is very easy. The family Shad is very helpful and even congratulated us with our birthday! Very thoughtful of them!

The location of the hotel was grand & was only a short walk to other facilities, we chose to eat breakfast at one of the nearby cafes. The Hotel restaurant was actually Greek which seemed a bit strange being in Germany but the food was great & the staff were very helpful & the restaurant was obviously a popular place as it was very busy with locals. A private car park to the side of the hotel meant our motorcycles were relatively secure.

Booked to celebrate a special Anniversary, as our last planned stop on a Grand Tour road trip. Our room was beautiful, with a 4 poster bed, spacious bathroom and separate toilet. The view from the bedroom and bathroom was stunning. The young receptionist gave us a warm welcome and tried her best. However this was a false impression of the hotel management.

The apartment was big, airy and spotlessly clean! It also had a nice (not fenced) terrace. Perfect place for both us and our three dogs! Breakfast was delicious! Located within walking distance to the Old Town. Gernsbach is definitely worth a visit and we would love to stay here again!
