This guesthouse was a perfect overnight pitstop on our way north. It was simple, comfortable and calm. We appreciated the rich breakfast. We also had dinner at the guesthouse and it was delicious local food, we highly recommend it. We had to pay extra for our dog, but we enjoyed the nature and forest right next to the gueshouse where we could go for walks.

Museum of the Battle of Lützen: Consider a combination ticket for the museum at the edge of town and the castle with its exhibition. Friedrich Nietzsche in Skirts is also recommended. Saturday is the best time to visit, except on Mondays.

From the inn, it's just a few kilometers away, and you have everything you need right there, with plenty of great activities. There are bike paths for short and long rides, hiking trails for all kinds of loops, sailing and motorboats, playgrounds, and all sorts of vehicles for young and old. Simply fantastic.

I chose Lützen as my destination because it's a good base...

I chose Lützen as my destination because it's a good base for visiting tourist destinations like Naumburg, Bad Kösen, Merseburg, Leipzig, and Dessau-Wörlitz. Lützen itself wasn't of much interest to me.

Cozy little town and with lovely nature in the area.

Cozy little town and with lovely nature in the area. The old lignite area has been converted into lovely lakes with green surroundings and small cozy swimming lagoons. And Leipzig is very close. And there are many things to see here. Lutzen is also a lovely town with a breathtaking old town.
