The location of the hotel is excellent - right in the center of the old town, on the river bank, with a great view of the river and everything around it. The town itself (I mean the old town where the hotel is) is very nice. The train station is about a 5-6 minute walk from the hotel and there is a bus stop on the other side of the bridge in front of the hotel. The breakfast is very good, there is a variety. They don't offer vegetables, but there was fresh fruit, good coffee, milk, tea, fruit juice. You can dine in the hotel restaurant at reasonable prices. The staff is very kind, everyone is smiling and responsive. The view from the window of my room - in front of my eyes, on the hill is Harburg Castle. The castle can be reached in about 10-15 minutes from the church along the lane up the hill. The castle is interesting, there is a nice view from it of the city below, the river and everything around.

The location can't be topped. It's a amazing experience to stay in a castle like this. We came here as part of a Romantic Road trip, and this castle was a highlight. The breakfast was superb in a beautiful location.

This is a great starting point for long, full-day hikes through a very interesting and diversified landscape. I recommend a tour to Nördlingen. Fantastic views, different types of hiking paths and lots of wonders to explore are guaranteed!

Beautiful monastery church.

Beautiful monastery church. The cloister is open, but because the monastery isn't in use, it appears closed. Just walk into the grounds. I wouldn't have done that without a tip. It's also a beautiful viewpoint. Not very high, so it's easily reached with little climbing, but the flat landscape offers a panoramic view. And what's more, it's a 10-million-year-old crater you're looking out over.
