This is my second time booking here. Specifically because they were so amazing the first time. The personal touch the owners give when youre staying there is amazing. My mom joined last minute, which wasnt a problem at all. At the dinner reservation they put down a little sign with mother and daughter and our last name. They were always happy and joyful and always had time for a little personal chat. It's lovely to see that it's a real family owned business. Ow and the food was amazing! Im a picky eater, however everything was really tasteful.

Nice little town.

Nice little town. Eltz Castle, not far from there, is really worth seeing. We had a good meal at the hotel itself. We cycled to Cochem; the route along the Moselle on the main road isn't very scenic. But a good tip from the tourist information office in Cochem showed us a very nice route.

Moselkern itself doesn't offer much, and it wasn't very busy...

Moselkern itself doesn't offer much, and it wasn't very busy at the beginning of August; some restaurants were closed. However, the famous and popular Eltz Castle is very close by, and the larger towns along the Moselle are also easily accessible.

It's a small village, very peaceful.

It's a small village, very peaceful. From here, you can take wonderful trips, both by bike and by car. The only downside is that the nearest shop is 6 km away.

There's nothing to do in Moselkern itself.

There's nothing to do in Moselkern itself. There are no shops or attractions. Kleines Kaffee (small coffee shop) was fine, but it closed at 6 p.m. The only excursion is to Burg Eltz, which is very beautiful, but I don't need five days for that. Fortunately, there's a train connection to the other towns along the Moselle.

Moselkern is tiny and has no amenities (such as a bakery, supermarket, etc.). However, it's a good base for exploring the sights in the Mosel region. We appreciated its small size; other towns like Cochem were too large and crowded.

Moselkern is a fantastic location to explore the Eifel-, the Mosel- and the Rhine- regions. It lies on the Mosel banks, at the confluence of the Eltz valley, with its beautiful landscapes and castles. The appartment itself is a 10/10. Very confortable, with plenty of natural light in every room. Another highlight : The Weckbecker Weingut right accross the street.
