Everything was fantastic. Sabine is a wonderful host, she manages to be both super helpful and warm while also giving you lots of space. The beds are outstandingly comfortable. Breakfast was great. The garden was beautiful and the location was super for exploring the local area. As we stayed two nights we were given a pass for attractions in the local area- some free and some discounted. This was so valuable, we couldn’t believe it! So many fantastic things to do in Schwartzwald. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends. Thanks Sabine and the team!

The wellness area is really nice with beautiful views, would be great if it went on a little longer into the evening instead of closing at 19:00, although the pool is still available until 21:00. I really liked the food the served in the evening and overall would love to come back here again.

What a lovely warm welcoming and friendly stay with Nadine & partner! Nothing was too much trouble, had a fabulous stay there and I would not hesitate to return to the hotel when I am in the region. Best hotel in over two weeks’ motorcycle trip right across Europe. Thank you.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was outstanding—delicious and beautifully presented every time. The spa was truly amazing, offering a peaceful and luxurious escape. What really stood out, though, was the staff—so warm and welcoming, they made me feel like part of the family. Highly recommended!

I went hiking in Seewald on two days.

I went hiking in Seewald on two days. One day I did the circular route around the village; half the way is through the forest, the other half past meadows. It was sunny and the clear sky above was simply magnificent! The other day I hiked the Großtannweg trail – also a very beautiful forest path with wonderful views along the way!

A lovely little village.

A lovely little village. During a short hike just outside the village, we were able to really enjoy the peace and quiet, which is always important to us. The proximity to Freudenstadt and Beiersbronn is great for those who value a bit more variety.

What we liked best was the peace and quiet, the location – it was an important break for us that did us a world of good. But everyone sees things differently. And the destination wasn't too far away, which was also important to me; I didn't want to travel too far for just a few days.

The friendly staff, the rooms, the breakfast and dinner (including vegetarian options), and the nearby hiking trails made our short break perfect. The sauna is small but nice. We didn't use the outdoor pool, but it's a must for hardcore sauna enthusiasts.

Seewald is a very rural and quiet area.

Seewald is a very rural and quiet area. It's recommended to arrive by car to reach the surrounding attractions. Worthwhile destinations include Freudenstadt, the Black Forest National Park, and the various spas. You can enjoy beautiful hikes in and around Seewald, or simply relax and unwind.

Spacious rooms, clean, nice breakfast. Very nice and large swimming pool is certainly a highlight of the hotel. The restaurant is also very good quality but could have a bit more choice of lighter meals.
