Our stay at Zum Reußischen Hof was amazing! We were impressed by the level of cleanliness and comfort it provided. Everything looked very new, it actually felt like we were amongst the first ones to stay there. I also have to mention the great build quality of the appartment we stayed in, from the plugs, through the ground and the seals between the tiles to the bathroom, everything was done to the highest quality. If I lived in the neighbourhood I would ask a number on the company that did it! 😉 We traveled with our 4 months old daughter and our dog and they provided us with a cot and all necessities for baby (even diapers) and our dog. The staff was very kind and even though they didn't speak much English we managed to communicate. And lastly, the breakfast was great, worth it's money!

We only spent one night in Wurzen due to an event.

We only spent one night in Wurzen due to an event. It's a nice, small, very clean town, but without any shops or cafes. The only thing that appealed to us was the factory outlet for the cookies. Otherwise, there wasn't much, but it was all within walking distance.

In Lossatal, a neighboring village, there's the Enduro Action Team. I stayed at the Hotel zur Post in Wurzen for the event. It was quite nice. The area is very rural and well worth a visit. You can walk, hike, cycle, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet. The people are incredibly friendly and hospitable. I'm here quite often on my motorcycle and I love it.

It was a wonderful feeling to stay in a historic castle...

It was a wonderful feeling to stay in a historic castle hotel. The magnificent vaulted ceilings in the lobby and restaurant were truly admirable, as were many of the furnishings. The staff was very friendly and the dinner was superb.

A charming small town with good shopping facilities.

A charming small town with good shopping facilities. Walks and sightseeing are possible. Good transport links. Restaurants are available in town. Leipzig and Torgau, for example, are easily accessible.

Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of Wurzen, but the...

Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of Wurzen, but the stay at Wurzen Castle was a really cozy place with lots of atmosphere and history. The food in the restaurant is really delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is very helpful. Is definitely a place I need to go back and experience closer.

This place is so beautiful, the location is everything you can hope for in a hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The Castle vibes are present everywhere you look, the attention to detail is spot on. The breakfast is very extensive, it has everything you can ask for. There is enough parking just outside the gates and some nice restaurants too. We enjoyed our stay very much and we'll definitely be back.

The room was cozy, clean, quiet, and spacious. The bed was good, the sofa area as well was nice. Breakfast buffet was pretty nice! The hotel is located directly next to the cathedral, not so far from the train station. The cathedral and the castle are beautiful.
