As a frequent traveler and blogger, I will give them their pros and cons. The place clean and nice, the environment is safe and secure with adequate staff to include security. They have 4 large swimming pools, a jacuzzi, and a diving beach nearby. You can dive off the property into the sea. [Not the Sandy walk-in beach.] That beach you can get a shuttle bus from the hotel to the sandy beach 10-minute drive. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes. The food was good. I am a Jamaican/Canadian, so our cultural food is different, but Alma has 3 separate restaurants and a buffet plus 2 snack bar, so you will find something to eat. Italian and Dominican restaurant goes by reservation. The Sushi restaurant can walk in. Staff very friendly and patient. However, 9 out of every 10 staff members do not speak or understand English. So we had to have Google translate at our finger tips wverytime we see a staff who doesn't speak English or we have to ask for one who speaks English, which can be time consuming. The hotel has daily activities inside and outside of the pool. They have night activities starting at 9pm to 11pm adult activities. However, the activities are done in Spanish, so I was not able to participate in any other than one of the dance which was also in Spanish but the steps are pretty easy to follow. The entertainment section was well organized don't get me wrong. However, I had to ask the dj can you play at least one English song so we can feel like we belong. He eventually played 2 English songs for that night lol. Big up Channel one of the entertainment staff he is full of vibes. And made our trip a fun one. I must say all the staff were good to us, no bad reviews for any of them.

I think the price vs quality is good. The equipement is more than ok - comfortable bed, fridge, hot water. When you scan the QR code in the room you get a false feeling that the breakfast will be poor, but it’s not true. Location is very good.

The property goes by multiple names: "Cadaques Bayahibe Family Apts" and "Cadaques Caribe Resort & Villas". It's not a resort. It's a large complex with many privately owned apartments. Prior to our arrival, the host sent us a message, stating that our payment wasn't processed for reasons unknown. We were instructed to make the entire payment through: Zelle or CashApp. We later learned that this is typical of thieves because payments paid through those platforms are non-refundable and non-claimable.  THIS IS BAIT & SWITCH FRAUD! We paid for a 2 Bedroom Apartment Suite, with beautifully staged photos. But the apartment didn't exist! Instead, we were given two dirty, deteriorated rooms, on opposite sides of the building. No hot water, dirty towels, old stained sheets, stained pillows, bedbugs, mold, and ROACHES crawling out of the large holes in the walls!! Completely deteriorated and un-rentable! We immediately contacted the host and demanded a full refund. They ignored all messages. Since we had no other accommodations, my family crammed into ONE of the small rooms and stayed one sleepless night in that awful environment. We quickly checked-out the next morning. We filed a complaint with Chase Bank regarding the Zelle payment. We filed a complaint with Booking.com regarding the fake photos and fraudulent activity. We hired an attorney.  BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT SEND ZELLE OR CASHAPP TO THIS LOCATION. IT'S FRAUD. THE CRIMINALS ARE NAMED: Manuel Suarez, Greta Ortiz, Claudia Ortiz.  We hope BOOKING.COM will help us get our refund, and not allow this property to continue victimizing other customers.

It's a quaint little town.

It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.

Bayahibe small and cozy, easy to drive, we were there to...

Bayahibe small and cozy, easy to drive, we were there to look for possible place to live. However the europeans have locked up the town and are building many apartment complex's for tourism. Too expensive to rent or buy in Bayahibe. Nice place to visit at Villa Baya for 4 days and that is it. 30 tour bus's bring in 2000 people daily from all over to go on catamaran tours, particularly to Isla Saona I suspect, as well as the scuba business. When the apartment complexs are finished in the next 2 to 3 years, Bayahibe is going to be totally overcrowded I suspect. I asked about snorkel tour for a couple hours. $150 usd!!!!! OUCH!! I am a snorkeler as well as a dedicated swimmer.

This is a very safe feeling small village.

This is a very safe feeling small village. We never felt unsafe as we walked around during days or nights. The restaurants along the waterfront served great food at very reasonable prices. Most of the waitstaff do not speak English which made for a bit of fun. I highly recommend taking a full day trip to Saona Island if you are traveling to Bayahibe.

It was clean, very well organized and right on the beach. The room were spacious and the dominican staff was extremely friendly and kind to us all the time. Kudos to Guerina the receptionist and to Pachenko the doctor for the professionalism shown. The position was great, not very far from Bayahibe and excursion places. The seaside was stunning and the pool itself was very beautiful. The barman Allen was doing the best cocktails ever!

The hotel is situated close to the center of Bayahibe village (cafes, restaurants) and not very far (1,2 km/15-20 minutes) from the Playa Publica Bayahibe. Do not mix it with Playa Bayahibe!!!! There is a bus stop (Parada Guaguas Bayahibe-La Romana / 100 pesos/person/one way) in front of the hotel. The hotel offers an acceptable quality for rooms and medium class services (but good WiFi).

Fascinating little hotel right in the heart of Bayahibe. Everything within walking distance. Really friendly staff. Nice pool, bar and possibility to dine on the rooftop. Working AC. Rooms have a fridge and water boiler. Exceptionally comfortable beds. CLEAN! Nice, simple breakfast served. Good value for the money. And Valentino.. (the dog) is a sweetheart :D

The property is located very close to Bayahibe public playa, in my opinion the most beautiful beach in the area. The hotel feels like home thanks to the welcoming staff. The hotel has local artists working (beautiful Caribbean art murals). Nice regenerated decor and pool. The cat Lucy is the icing on the cake: lovely.
