Though we arrived late( athens-frankfurt, frankfurt-talin, then train to rakveere), reception was there waiting for us( super bonus for a traveller), giving us all the informations asked for everything! Superb breakfast! We had room 25 with an enormous cornered window, giving us panoramic view of the snowey ground. Villa Theresa is located in a forest( 5euros by taxi from the town center). Its like a fairytale cabin. Clean, relaxing, calm! Thank you for your hospitality!

Cozy hotel, helpful staff. Especially I would like to point out spotless cleanliness of the room. Off season (January), there was just handful of guests and the hotel was absolutely calm (the only source of noise were our two kids).

Absolutely loved the way breakfast was arranged to us. We booked with breakfast, but left too early to have it in the hotel, so the receptionists and the chefs packed our breakfast for us to go! I was especially impressed by the boiled eggs that were boiled to perfection! Creative thinking and very satisfied customers!

I really liked everything. The room was cormfy, cozy and clean. The location was very close to the ciry centre. Rakvere is where my mother went to high school.

Rakvere is where my mother went to high school. Later the rest of her family (mother and sister) moved there to live. I consider it my home town away from my home town. Not only does it have great permanent attractions, like the 800-year-old castle with actors recreating life 500 years ago, but it has great occasional events. Like a punk rock festival every year. One time I was there, I unexpectedly came upon a street organ festival and spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with them. It has great places to eat with a variety of cuisines, from local to Caucasian and Asian (including sushi) and friendly, comfortable places to stay in between the eating, music and medieval life. It's small enough to get around on foot, but there are lots of buses too. You are sure to enjoy it!

A pleasant little town in the north of the country.

A pleasant little town in the north of the country. It was a pleasure to walk through the restored streets of the old town. There are plenty of restaurants with good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Would have been nice to have extended opening hours for the museums and extended time to visit the castle, but our visit coincided with the Easter holiday and this may have been the reason for the reduced opening hours.

It is a beautiful peaceful town in Estonia. A castle for sightseeing. A peacefull parc for recreation. There is also a spa with a 25m swimming pool. In the center village you find old restored buildings which are worth seeing. For shopping there is near the city a shopping mall.

Rakvere ise a Nice little town. There is his own atmosphere. The very first thing you have to to is go to the Old castle hill and touch the Bull desticles, its the thing must to. Then in winter time there was Every december unusual christmas tree in the head square . This year i was seeing an ordonary tree. This was also beatyful, but not Rakvere stile. So I hope that next year there ise something special tree. Of course the super markets Like "Põhjakeskus" and the " Vaala " and the spa " " " Aqua Spa " " ". Have a Nice time to visiting the Rakvere.

Nothing to do.

Nothing to do. Got a haircut at a local barbershop and she asked me, "why Rakvere? Nothing here." The castle is pretty uninteresting and this comes from a guy who spends hours at museums reading every placard. Just stay away from this place, truly nothing worth seeing and oddly quiet.

Hotel gives luxurious vibes. It has water features, carpets and bling. Even the cheapest room was nice and it had great beds. We also enjoyed breakfast and nice waterpark with view of a medieval church! Location in the centre of Rakvere was good. There was huge parking area at the front of the hotel and multiple restaurants and shops at the short walking distance.

My first stay at hotel Wesenbergh, didn't know what to expect. The check-in was convinient, nohing to complain about the rooms as well. Spacious and not to worn-out yet - although soon they reach to point where some rerubishing is needed.

Overall good place to stay, free parking. At the start couldn’t find the way, how to get keys ( sorted out with phone call ). In the morning couldn’t turn on electric oven. Really good place in Rakvere.
