In June I spent a week in this hotel with my husband on a hill walking trip to the Picos. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Our room was very nice and spacious overlooking the river with great views of the Picos. There is a great pool area which we used on days when we weren’t out and about. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Martha who was so warm and kind and treated us to a nightcap for our wedding anniversary. There is a really nice relaxing lounge area which includes a bar area and also serves coffee. An outdoor area, off this lounge area, is also perfect for chilling and listening to the babbling stream with great views of the Picos.

The accommodation was comfortable and the location was magnificent! We initially booked for two nights but extended to three. We caught the 8AM cable car then hiked the 14 km PR-PNPE24 trail back down to the hotel. Spectacular mountain scenery and beautiful autumn colours both close up and in the distance. The road from Potes to Fuente De was excellent.

I was looked after wonderfully and I loved my stay here. It was everything I expected it to be and more. An excellent position for hiking in the area, a hearty meal in the evening, a convivial atmosphere, relaxed and comfortable, warm and friendly. Rooms are basic, bathrooms shared, door handles noisy, whiich is part of its charm and good value for money. Sergio chatted to me in my home language English and gave great advice about the hikes, their timing, and general area information. As I say, really enjoyed these few days. Thank you Hostal Poncebos
