The hotel is in a great location, only five minute walk to the main beach and restaurants. The staff are super, all very friendly and helpful. The animation team for the kids during the daytime and evenings are great fun. The buffet breakfast is very good, lots of choice and very tasty. The pools are fantastic for adults and kids, including the water slide. We had room1018 on the ground floor for two adults and children and It was perfect. A very large room with two separate garden terraces which was a wonderful surprise.

El Cabo de Gata is amazing!

El Cabo de Gata is amazing! It's one of my favourite places in Spain. It's a natural park with lots of cosy small towns and most beaches are set in a natural landscape so you have to make sure you take your own food and drinks with you, depending on which beach you choose. My favourite ones were playa El Cabo de Gata, playa Las Salinas, and of course Los Genoveses and Monsul (you have to get there really early in the morning to get a spot because they have controlled access during the summer). We did snorkelling and I wish I had better equipment with me because there are lots of fishies under those waters and they come really close to you! And I highly recommend doing a boat tour. We took our from Playa de las Salinas and we got in a small motorboat and had a ride around El Cabo. We had a guide who explained what we were seeing, had a stop for a quick swim and got an adrenaline rush! One last thing, if you go to El Cabo de Gata, please don't litter.Always take your rubbish with you. It crushed my heart to see the amount of rubbish people leave behind. There were lots of plastic bags, cans, cigarette buts and all sorts of rubbish.

The town is typical.

The town is typical. Small but with a lovely beach and charming bars to visit. A car is essential. It takes between 20 and 40 minutes to reach the main destinations (the beaches and coves) via a pleasant route. Recommended for a long weekend. 4/5 days.

For sea and nature lovers, this is a must-do for exploring its coves. Access is on foot, but it's highly recommended. I will definitely return. Its small fishing villages are very touristy and well-preserved.

We loved Salinas and Fabriquilla beaches; there were fish...

We loved Salinas and Fabriquilla beaches; there were fish almost right up to the shore, and my daughter had a blast. We also went to Monsul and Genoveses beaches, but they were a disappointment compared to the others. They were very crowded, there was a queue to get there and to park (it cost 6 euros), and we were unlucky because it was incredibly windy, so we couldn't enjoy them.

I was here for birdwatching; the Salinas and Rambla Morales are beautiful birding spots. The sunset at the lighthouse was fantastic. However, the view of the plastic greenhouses almost everywhere is awful.

Cabo de Gata is conveniently located, but uninteresting as a...

Cabo de Gata is conveniently located, but uninteresting as a town. San Jose, a bit further away, is much more pleasant. We could rent bikes there, for example, but not in Cabo de Gata. The selection of restaurants and cafes is also very limited in Cabo de Gata, unlike San Jose.

Hotel is well maintained and very clean. It has a real family feel about it. Breakfast is very good and nothing is too much trouble. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant on several occasions. Our first room had no balcony and we asked if we could move if a room became free. This happened the next day and we weren't asked for any extra money. There is a very modern self service launderette almost directly across from the hotel.

Wonderful location in front of the beach. Wonderful a/c and great terrace/balcony (we were lucky as we had a 'side view' of the sea). This is still an old-style hotel, but extremely clean. Wonderful location (although resturants nearby are not open in the evening, thus you would need to drive or go to a bar next door which serves food)

The staff is very kind and helpful. Everything was very clean. There is private free parking in front of the hotel. It is 5 min walking distance from the beach. The location is great if you want to spend some relaxing days in Cabo de Gata area.

Breakfast was basic but very reasonable - the hotel was perfect. However Cabo de Gata was mainly for spanish people - there were no tourists here and little to do - but was good for a short get away of total relaxation
