A lovely little apartment in Espinama, just off the main road. Check-in was in the Hotel (blue building) and parking provided down the narrow lane and around the back of the red building/apartments. Lovely and quiet. A few options for eating out. But such a wonderful location. Espinama and most particularly the Picos de Europa - one of the most beautiful places I've seen in Spain. And Spain is obviously abundant with amazing places! :-)

Very good food, good selection on menu despite being Oct & fewer tourists . Staff / owners / hosts extremely nice, kind, helpful, offered a different bedroom on other side of the hotel because the cattle had been moved to a field beside the hotel just before we arrived as they were concerned that the bells on the cattle would disturb our sleep - the cattle did not disturb us at all (even the light sleeper who wakes at almost everything). We were made to feel very welcome. Owners even lent us walking poles & refused our attempts to pay for the pole we damaged. Simply couldn’t have been better hosts. Stunning views of Picos de Europa. Peaceful, beautiful location. Would definitely stay here again & stay for longer. Exceeded expectations.

The accommodation was comfortable and the location was magnificent! We initially booked for two nights but extended to three. We caught the 8AM cable car then hiked the 14 km PR-PNPE24 trail back down to the hotel. Spectacular mountain scenery and beautiful autumn colours both close up and in the distance. The road from Potes to Fuente De was excellent.

very nice well equiped and very clean apartament, in a quiet neighbourhood, in a small village Turieno, just next to Potes, great mointain view from all windows; the host Javier was very nice and helpful with tips regarding must see places around and nice places to eat; good base fo ferratas and treks in Picos the Europa area

We really enjoyed that there were gates in our balcony as well as in the community garden, it was really useful because we had a dog and we were able to let him run free as there was no way he could run away. Interior was very interesting and charming. The apartament was also extremely clean.

Great location, super friendly staff, spacious clean room with a nice long bed and a strong crispy clean shower with a comfortable bathtub, swimming pool and other amenities in the middle of town. Lovely siderias and restaurant across the street and free parking right behind and next to the hotel. Highly recommended.

I travelled with a group of 5 women friends, our welcome and experience of the Hotel Toscana was exceptional, the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and support us with our stay at the hotel and our further journey. We loved everything about the hotel it was clean, welcoming and friendly. Everything you could want from a hotel, and at a great price. The hotel was only 10minutes walk from Potes so the location suited us well too. Thank you to the lovely family who run the hotel were are so grateful for your kindness and hospitality .

Stunning area. We visited in early spring.

Stunning area. We visited in early spring. Beautiful lush green of the hills and some trees, and snow capped mountains everywhere. Quiet and peaceful time to visit with little tourists around. Snow still falling up on the mountains at Fuente de. Highly recommend. The drive up to Espinama is currently being repaired, but driving up through the valley alongside the river. Stunning.

A charming little town in an incredible national park.

A charming little town in an incredible national park. Apart from initially having trouble with parking, we were visiting outside peak tourist season, so not too difficult. There's only a few streets to explore in Espinama, which is all part of it's charm. Most are original/older buildings with a few newer ones, sympathetically built to complement the town. Enroute for the camino. Just lovely and we far preferred it to the large lodge up the road. We felt like we were staying in "Spain proper." We had an evening meal at Bar Máximo, on the main road. The artichokes for a started and peppers stuff with Hake. Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff. They helped make our one night stay there a special memory.

Espinama is located at an altitude of approximately 1000m,...

Espinama is located at an altitude of approximately 1000m, right in the heart of the Picos de Europa, with quick access (5 minutes by car) to the Fuente Dé cable car. We went on New Year's Eve and there wasn't a single restaurant open in the vicinity, which surprised us somewhat.

The village is beautiful, it all depends on what activity...

The village is beautiful, it all depends on what activity you come to do... It's 3.5km from Fuente Dé, where many hiking trails begin (our favorite activity). One of the trails starts right in the village... Right where we stayed they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner (very good).

It's very close to Fuente Dé, and just a few kilometers from...

It's very close to Fuente Dé, and just a few kilometers from Santo Toribio de Liébana and the Puerta del Perdón (Gate of Forgiveness). It's about 20 minutes from Potes, where you'll find everything you need: supermarkets, restaurants, a pharmacy, etc. Espinama also has bars and restaurants, and the La Remoña accommodation itself has a very good restaurant. There's also a small supermarket.

It's a small village at the foot of the Picos de Europa...

It's a small village at the foot of the Picos de Europa mountains, ideal for a few days of peace and quiet, and very close to hiking trails and access to Fuente Dé. Recommended at any time of year. There are several restaurants open year-round, all serving homemade food and offering friendly service. Several hiking routes start from Espinama, and parking is convenient.

The house is located in Espinama where only 2km to Fuente De. You can also try off road to sotres and I am sure you will enjoy the journey. Everything is well designed and organised, large enough for 7-8 people. Super clean with full kitchen. Two fireplace in 0 and ground floor, with central heating super warm! Out of window a rill really calms me down. I spent 4 night to hike and empty myself, really memorable experience!

The location in Espinama is stunning. The apartment was beautiful, really great value for money and we had an amazing stay with family. Would definitely recommend! We booked a 2 bed apartment but ended up with a 4 bed!

We loved the traditional character of this Spanish hotel, with it's dark timber and stunning displays of needlework created by our charming hostess. Beautiful flowers outside, a warm welcome and very good restaurant.
