Las Estrellas de Laguarta is a nice house run by nice people in the small mountain village of Laguarta, located about 40 minutes’ drive from Boltaña (Aínsa) on a narrow winding mountain road. The house is (we understand) an old barn well updated to be a two bedroom modern apartment on two floors and has fly screens in some windows to allow opening the windows at night for ventilation. (The owners were very clear that opening the other windows would invite in a horde of insects, so we kept all the other windows closed). The kitchen has the basics for cooking. You have to bring your own provisions (all food, drink, everything) as there is no store, and there is no restaurant within 30 minutes driving of Laguarta. The owners gifted us some local produce and eggs. Towels are available for an extra cost. It all works well. The owners (we met the parents; I think it is their son who usually communicates with people through their website or booking platforms) took us to a nice natural pool about 2km away when we asked about any swimming possibilities. They also gave useful advice about walking trails. Really nice people. Recommended, with a couple of minor cautions (see below), and proper planning. I think I would stay in this house again. Thank you for your warm hospitality!

This is a wonderful hotel in a superb setting. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were delightful, the grounds are immaculate and the decor is beautiful - a 'Rocky Mountain' style lodge hotel in sunny Spain with the picturesque Pyrenees in the background. The food was all delicious, both the evening meal prepared by an excellent chef, and the plentiful breakfast. I have to eat gluten free and was well provided for, not always the case.

Small village, only one restaurant (and some campings). Not so much to see inside the village. However, it is quiet and it is a good base camp for mountain lovers that want to visit Parque National de Ordessa and Monteperdido.

I was looking for accommodation near Ordesa National Park. It's a strategic location for driving to the park, but it's not really a place to spend a lot of time as it's small (for that there's Aínsa, for example, but I imagine the prices are higher).

At the entrance to the village there's a supermarket with everything you need, a park, and basketball hoops for older children. The Ara River flows through the village; it's small, very peaceful, and charming.

A village nestled beside the Ara River at the foot of Mount Petralba. A gateway from Sabiñánigo to the Broto-Ordesa and Boltaña-Ainsa areas. Excellent transport links, delicious food, rich cultural heritage, and friendly people.

A village on the way to Ordesa; we actually chose it for the hotel, but we liked it. It has a very small, older section, some residential buildings on the outskirts, and just enough restaurants to keep it from getting too crowded.

The view is to die for! Tiny and cozy old-school room with a gorgeous view of the Ara river and the Pyrenees. The staff is super friendly and their restaurant is good. Fiscal is located right in the middle of other attractions - historical town of Ainsa, Ordesa y Monte Perdido park (for hiking), canyons for barranquismo.
