The apartment was fantastic. Lots of space, good facilities and the most stunning views of the mountain. The bed in the main bedroom was huge and comfortable. The double bed in the 2nd bedroom was fine, but not as good. We used the sauna a lot which is a great bonus though very small. 2 people max and 1 person more easily.

Big room with a comfortable bed! The back balcony was lovely to sit on and have a wine. You can hike up to the monistary from here or drive up really easily. The host gave us very helpful directions and information on places to eat/drink in the area. Cute bar and restaurant right out front! In general, the building and area are beautiful. Would stay here next time :)

Comfortable accommodation right in the centre of Monistrol. It is an original old apartment so we had an authentic taste of living in this city. The apartment was clean, the kitchen had everything one needs. Wifi worked without problems. Just next to the apartment was a small bakery with lovely croissants for brakfest.

We spent two nights in Monistrol, and it takes all day to see the monastery. (I noticed in Barcelona that some tours offer a six hour visit there, counting travel time, and that's not enough.) Monistrol is one train stop away from the cable cars up to the monastery, and we got an early start and only had to wait about ten minutes for a cable car, The view of the mountain from our hotel window was amazing.

The setting is magnificent.

The setting is magnificent. Numerous hikes are possible and offer stunning views of the landscape. However, it's far too crowded. The queue to visit the Montserrat Basilica is discouraging. There are plenty of services at the top (bank, restaurants). However, it's best to bring food beforehand as the restaurants are extremely expensive.

A beautiful place, whether for its architecture (religious or not) or for the surrounding nature. The funicular is a must-do, and there are walks to enjoy, but be warned, good shoes are recommended as there are some rocky climbs. If you're afraid of heights, don't go up. And above all, contemplate what's before your eyes and be silent :)

Although we were there for a wedding, what I liked most was its proximity to the Monastery, the easy access from the Manresa road, and the tranquility. What I liked least was that many areas of the village are quite neglected and in need of improvements and renovations.

A must-see.

A must-see. Convenient transportation from Barcelona, beautiful views, and easy access and travel without a car. There's a restaurant in town, La Barca, that I highly recommend. Ideal for 2-3 days, but you can easily do it all in one without spending the night in town. Monistrol itself is unremarkable and very small. All the attention is on the mountains and Montserrat.

A beautiful, sprawling complex with plenty to explore. Touristy sights aside, you should definitely pack hiking boots and embark on a challenging and breathtaking hike. The town in the valley is charming, not particularly pretty or polished, but it has a lot of character and wonderful people!

We arrived on our cycling trip with the tandem bike, which is a bit more complicated to park. The hotel management came by especially for us and very obligingly helped us to park the long bike safely. Our room was rustic in an interesting way and very clean. The hotel also offers some fruit, drinks, coffee and snacks free of charge. We felt very comfortable and will come back again when we are passing through.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during the New Year period. The place was very clean, and the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, treating us like their own guests. They really made us feel at home. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to numerous trails with breathtaking views. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in a beautiful setting.
