We live in Oropesa, so naturally, we love it here. This time of year is festival, and where we live, close to the arena and Bull Ring, it's very noisy, with techno disco music all night. The only positive is that I booked only ONE NIGHT.
The only positive is that I booked only ONE NIGHT. Horrible place and very rude owner. Afer the owner first read my (very negative but deserved) review this morning, he decided to send me a Whatsapp to tell me to "Go and F.ck yourself" after adding that guests like me staying only one night were the worst ones! In my review, I pointed out the bad communication: his agent did not want initially to come and meet me at the property, they wanted me to pick up the keys 3km away.. I insisted and he came in the end. I also pointed out that the property did not have any heating and I was very cold during the night and could not sleep despite putting on 3 or 4 blankets on the bed. Absolutely shocking, this very unprofessional and rude owner should be banned from the Booking.com Platform. I have been a customer of Booking.com for many years and usually do an excess of 15 bookings per year. I have never had such a bad experience. You might think of this as Disney on a budget.
You might think of this as Disney on a budget. There are a lot of activities for kids, and some are more expensive than others, but our kids were able to have a great time without spending an insane amount of money. I don't like crowded touristy destinations, but this place was much better than I expected it to be. The main avenue (Carrer L'Antina) was lit up beautifully at night, and it did get a little crowded after 21:00, as is to be expected on a weekend in July, but it wasn't too crazy. We found the prices of the restaurants surprisingly low for such a touristy place, and actually really good food. Read the reviews online, and try to see the plates people are eating before you decide where to go. The path along the beach is Something that really sets this area apart from other beach towns, it's the perfect place to walk or go for an easy bike ride.
