Happy, friendly staff. Lovely restaurant and good food. Breakfast was superb - so much more than a "continental breakfast". Lovely secluded setting in the mountains for a peaceful getaway. There is a walk through the grounds to an old sawmill and a waterfall.

We arrived a few hours before we could check in, and asked if we could leave our bags there while we went out. The lady behind the desk made a couple of phone calls, and after checking our ID handed us the keys to our room. Our room was clean and so was the private bathroom as well.

This is a jewell of a place! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not luxurious, the room and bathroom was a bit dated, as is the whole place, we don’t mind that and everything is spotlessly clean and functional. The location is perfect: on the main street but set back from the road with room for a carpark and the restaurant/bar terrace. There is very much a ski chalet feel about the front of the hotel. The large Plane trees on the roadside keep the whole place nice and cool in the summer without it feeling dark and I couldn’t ask for a better terrace to sit out drinking on a hot afternoon. Reception was super friendly and familial. The older man was very helpful with my rubbish Spanish and the younger guy was eager to practice his very passable English, all done with smiles and laughter. I wish I could tell you their names. A vast difference from our later experience in the hotel along the road!! We had a very chilled hour on the terrace with a cold beer before a cool siesta followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant. We stayed here on our way to Barcelona from our home in France. Sadly it was fully booked for our return trip.

The room was incredibly clean and the bed was one of the most comfy beds I've ever slept in my life. My only negative is the emergency light in the room, way too bright for something that's gonna be on the entire night, makes it hard to sleep. Food is really nice and the view from the restaurant windows is stunning, though dinner is a little pricey for what is offered.

The hotel is very well located, the starting point for numerous routes. We hiked the Camí Vell de Queralbs to Núria, the Salt del Grill waterfall, and the Estret del Forn natural spring. The rack railway is a five-minute walk away. There are no shops. There's a bar opposite the hotel; it's best to make a reservation. We ate lunch and dinner there, and everything we ordered was really good!

Picturesquely situated in the Pyrenees.

Picturesquely situated in the Pyrenees. A starting point for wonderful hikes in the mountains. There's also a highly recommended restaurant in the village – the menu is only in Catalan, but the waiter spontaneously translates it into Spanish.

We visited the Vall de Núria. A truly special place. It's only accessible on foot or by rack railway, which is worth the climb and the views alone. It snowed during our stay, making the place even more beautiful. It's worth visiting any time of year.

We love the hotel, and this year the staff has been much...

We love the hotel, and this year the staff has been much friendlier (for the first time in the three years we've been going). We're very happy when the staff greets us with a smile. The only downside continues to be the excessive heat and lack of humidity in the room. It makes it almost impossible to sleep and extremely difficult to breathe. A real shame.

We went for a winter hiking trip from Ribes de Freser to Puigmal and stayed here in Queralbs for one of the nights of our hikes. It’s a lovely and cosy stay with incredible views over the mountains. With the cold temperatures, the fire place was a very welcome part of the living room. The hostess, Magna, was incredibly kind and even though my Spanish (or Catalan) isn’t the best - it was easy to communicate with each other! Highly recommend staying here if you are around the area.

Friendliness of staff, the view and the local atmosphere. The room and bathroom were very big and comfortable. Dinner options were basic but sufficient, the coffee very good and the (optional?) bocadillos with breakfast were very tasty. The location near the train station on the line Ribes de Freser- Vall de Nuria is perfect, also near hiking trails (GR 11) and the authentic mountain village of Queralbs. We would stay there again, which actually we did :-)

The location is just more than perfect, it's even better (and higher) than the Nuria 5-star hotel's one. The staff is really friendly and helpful, too. We stayed in January and the temperature in the rooms was comfortably warm.

Nuria is a magical place. The hotel was very comfortable, extra points for the beds and sheets - never slept so well in a hotel room. Having my breakfast with a view to the mountains was also not bad at all.
