Very good location next to the monastery (and the bus stop) We enjoyed the fact that there were good common areas. There is a tiny "kitchen facility" with a water boiler and a small fridge. Very quiet. At the back of the building there is an area with chairs and tables. When we checked in they even let us choose whitch room we would like! :)

Located right opposite a supermarket and restaurant which was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was super, plenty of choice on the table plus locally sourced produce. Nuriah was extremely helpful throughout and assisted with some much needed laundry (because we were cycling) and also locked away our bikes in a store overnight, so we had no concerns and had a peaceful night’s sleep. Plenty of room in the bedroom - everything clean and tidy.

The owners were incredibly nice and we were treated like locals at the bar at night. I highly recommend you get the Costillas (pork ribs) as your segundo, they were part of the menu of the day and the best thing we’d had along the Camino.

A wonderful place to visit and digression from the traditional Camino Frances - well worth the effort and a delightful walk from Tricastel and from Samos to Sarria. Our accommodation near the monastery was perfectly placed and close to local restaurants. Its also well worth a vist around the monastery - though the musky smell (damp?) in the chapel was surprising and could easily be removed if they occasionally opened the West doors to improve air flows - I guess there aren't enough monks left there to undertake these tasks? - only 7 at present apparently, but they'd welcome new novices to bolster their number! ... Curious modern art in the cloister corridors that you'll encounter on your visit - helps if you can speak Spanish to understand the monk taking you around!

The Samos Monastery is spectacular; a visit is well worth it...

The Samos Monastery is spectacular; a visit is well worth it. The Camino de Santiago passes through there, and you'll see quite a few pilgrims. There's plenty of accommodation for them and for visitors in general. The town is pretty, with paths to explore along the river. The food is excellent.

The tranquility, the surrounding scenery, the many walking options, and the good, affordable food are all wonderful. However, I would ask the Abbot of the Monastery to delay the ringing of the bell tower by one hour, from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.

A small village where you can easily walk around at night. There are hiking trails and a great setting to unwind. The only thing is, if you go in winter, you have to be prepared for the cold, but that's part of the village's charm at this time of year.

Wonderful monastery, beautiful river and gardens.

Wonderful monastery, beautiful river and gardens. Very interesting bars and restaurants. We ate at Restaurante Albaroque and loved it. The food was plentiful and delicious. The boletus, piquillo pepper, and baby squid croquettes were amazing, and the hamburger was spectacular. Highly recommended.

The location and views from the rooms are perfect, right...

The location and views from the rooms are perfect, right across from the Samos Monastery, which is well worth a visit if you have the time. The surrounding area is beautiful and perfect for walks or hikes. It's a very peaceful place to enjoy nature, and if you're walking the Camino de Santiago, it's ideal for a day's rest.

The room and attached bathroom were clean, comfortable, well thought out with attention to detail and provided me with a lovely night’s rest. Nuria made me feel welcomed and comfortable in her Pension. She provided me with good advice about where to eat and how to see the Samos Monastery. Her breakfast was delicious and heart enough to sustain me on a full day of hiking, I am glad I stayed at Pensión Licerio!

The house was stunningly beautiful. Located in Samos, a very beautiful detour from the original Camino. The hostess was very kind. I had one of my best nights sleep in the king-size bed. Other accomodation such as bathroom and kitchen facilities had everything you needed
