Location 20 min walk into & back from town which we did 6 times. However there is a Bus stop directly outside the hotel the No 1 bus 2.70 euros return trip for 2. Just take care when you get off in town where you need to stand to catch it back to Malemont. Air con Bed Size of room Pool The Restaurant food is very good indeed and reasonably we ate there on our first night. We didn't opt for breakfast Aircon in reception and restaurant. Shutters in windows Hotel is on a main road but there was no noise at all once in bedroom. Ample parking Near amenities/food retailers

The facility was top notch, equiped to the detail, and everything was modern, clean and comfortable. The hosts are lovely, they warmly welcomed us and toured the property with us. There is a terrace outside to enjoy the amazing sunset and nightsky! They welcomed our pet too, the property has a fenced area, perfect if you travel with dogs. Fantastic quality-price. It is a place I strongly recommed to other travelers, and I am confident we will repeat our stay!

The town is adorable but after visiting the Abbey, there's not a ton to do. We used the village as a base to tour in the area. Our favorite was Lascaux, about 40 minutes away, with pre-historic cave drawings.

Visits to the surrounding area include nature trails, fishing spots, and a visit to Collonges-la-Rouge with its picturesque streets. You can also visit Sarlat, where you'll discover surprises at every turn: the castle, town, and gardens. I recommend a delicious break in Souillac at La Table du Paysan; the portions are very generous.

Aubazines mainly has three or four points of tourist interest: the abbey (with a very good guide), the church, the eastern chapel, and the monks' canal, which we didn't have the chance to see. We were there for a short stay. There's a tourist office, a pretty church square—in short, a very pleasant place for a short break. Christiane

Beware of the variable spelling… Aubazine or Aubazines (Booking incorrectly uses Aubazines with an S) Near Brive-la-Gaillarde, Turenne (and its castle, superb panorama), and Collonges-la-Rouge (and Tulle, the useless one, enough said)

A very pretty and authentic village.

A very pretty and authentic village. A beautiful Cistercian abbey worth visiting. The hotel is located on the hills above the village, in a secluded spot, surrounded by greenery and a pond. Importantly, the food at the Golf Hotel is of an excellent culinary standard. Highly recommended.

The tranquility, the welcome from Ruud & Chiara, the dinner (a fabulous cod dish), sitting on our private terrace sipping wine in the sunshine, the conversation after dinner and a very restful and comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was good and Ruud was extremely helpful after we left some items behind. A wonderful experience and well worth the trip to get there. If you do decide to book here, make time to visit Aubazines, we didn't so will have to return 😁.

Exceptional. Ruud and Chiara are superb hosts who made us and our dog feel really welcome. The hotel is charming, beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Great location for a our stop over on our journey but would love to come back for a longer stay sometime. The evening meal and breakfast were both delicious with quality ingredients and produce.

The staff are all very friendly. Our room was large and clean We had two delicious meals at their restaurant. There is a variety of choice for breakfast and all very satisfying. The village is charming with good walking to be had from the door of the hotel.
