The room we had was just amazing, tastefuly decorated and comfortable. The hosts were weloming and friendly. Breakfast was very tasty. There was a parking space next to the villa. Very recommended place.

What a beautiful place to stay in Chalus. Everything is tastefully decorated, clean , the breakfast brilliant with a wide choice. But most of all the hosts Anna and Pete: they are so friendly and helpful . I would definitely recommend staying there.

It was very cold when we arrived, and the wooden building was extremely cold inside and took a long time to warm up. Our hostess was in a hurry and said she would be leaving the next morning very early and would leave our breakfast outside. I went out at 7 am to get it. It was a half baguette and 2 small brioche, all rock hard, from the day before and partly frozen from being left outside. 4 small pieces of butter, orange juice and jam had been left in the fridge but no milk. The bedroom, lounge was very cramped, bathroom was okay but very cold at the start.

Our stay was just what we needed to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of nature! We were not too far away from Limoges Airport where we needed to be the next day but without the busy surroundings! Perfect for us!

Great communication from the owner always available via text. Asked for extra duvets as visit was in winter time and she obliged promptly. Great facility shame it wasn’t the summer as the garden area looked fantastic!

Very comfortable with every creature comfort catered for. The hosts even phoned the restaurant to make us a reservation for lunch. There was lots to keep our teenagers busy. Beds were really comfy.

The gite was spacious, quiet, private, comfortable and impeccably clean. The bathroom was lovely, the shower was gorgeous. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a large fridge. We slept really well in lovely sheets and a warm duvet. You can park just at the front door, ideal. The wifi worked very well. It was too cold to make use of the garden, the pool or the hot tub but hopefully we'll come back one day.

I was due to fish my friends private lake for a week,so I arrived a day early to take in some of the local food and wine and surroundings and I wasnt disappointed at all,everyone was very friendly and helpful,deffo going to stat at same hotel next may,highly recommend it to everyone 🙂 10 stars

I especially loved the whole countryside around Châlus, the landscapes are superb, trees, meadows, beautiful Limousin cows, stone buildings often very well restored, a beautiful region to discover.

The area is fantastic, perfect for hiking or cycling.

The area is fantastic, perfect for hiking or cycling. There are several castles and houses to visit, and some lovely little towns. Lots of lakes nearby, great food, and a great place to relax.

The village itself is typical due to its history.

The village itself is typical due to its history. Lots of English people, and a huge number of abandoned shops and houses! What a shame! But that's the case in many French villages. Getting around Chalus is easy, on foot, and there are a few nice restaurants run by English people. On our next visit, we'll avoid the bed and breakfast we chose.

The town was not very attractive, and was chosen for its proximity to Limoges, which was inaccessible that day because of the Tour de France. The excursion to the castle allowed us to find some fresh air on a very hot day, but that was all, because the castle itself was very disappointing.
