I rarley give a 10 but this wonderful spot exceeded our expectations and lovely Vivianne was absolutley charming. If you are looking for rel french hospitality, in a beautifully restored house, larhe airy room, a lovely garden to sit outside, and a wonderful breakfast, then this is the place for you. Parking is simple, as is locating the house. It is an easy walk to restaurants, the chateau, and the canal.

This lovely cottage sits in a courtyard fronting directly onto the canal at a quiet end of Josselin. It is a perfect base for exploration of the historical town and larger environs and wonderful for walks along the canal. The building has had many lifetimes of varied use; yet the interior has been smartly renovated, updated and well-appointed with a nicely designed functional kitchenette creating a home away from home for 2 people. The tile work, furnishings (some crafted by the owners in their nearby business), and overall design were nicely complemented by the warm welcoming ambience created by the hosts and their conscientious care.

A spectacular medieval town on the banks of the Nantes Brest canal. It never fails to disappoint-whether you want to explore the chateau, roam through the streets lined with timber framed houses or wander in the Bois d’Amour - there is something for everyone. If you want to be more energetic then you can cycle for miles, in either direction, along the canal path or drift along on one of the canal boats. Then finish the day in one of the many cafes/restaurants! What’s not to like.

It's small but perfectly formed town.

It's small but perfectly formed town. Lovely architecture and good restaurants. The views of the castle are great. It's worth staying for a few days to get to know the place. A day trip of a few hours doesn't do it justice.

Absolutely fell in love with the place!

Absolutely fell in love with the place! Beautiful, historic, friendly, easy going, with local shops, an amazing church, a chateau, with lovely gardens, a canal that’s popular with cyclists and walkers and the most amazing bakery, selling bread and cakes the likes of which I have never seen!

A small walkable town with all the amenities one needs in an old historic locale. Lovely walks in older parts of town with lots to discover and explore; interesting Chateau/Castle; wonderful walks along canal; at least one delightful park with nice walking trails; info signs tucked everywhere providing an ongoing insight into history and events in the area; nice restaurants; artistic installation at many surprising places providing a rest for the eyes; on edge of town are modern conveniences; good highway to get to/from;

Delightful historic town with a chateau and many 16th...

Delightful historic town with a chateau and many 16th century houses which have been well maintained. There are information plaques on many of them and it is easy to walk round the town which has a river/canal as well as parks. There is a good choice of places to eat from restaurants to cafes, bars and creperies. Interesting shops offer opportunities for browsing with jewellery, books (French & English), gifts, clothes and shoes!

This is a tastefully decorated BnB located very close to the town centre of Josselin. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely view to the garden and courtyard, which was very pleasant to sit and relax in. Our host respected our privacy and gave us all the information we needed. Parking in the public car park across the road from the property was convenient and free.

This was a unique property with an interesting history, very spacious and comfortable. The hosts were lovely people. We highly recommend staying at least a couple of nights to enjoy the surroundings while visiting Josselin. It was the ideal stopover on our bike trip. Ps: the indoor pool was an added bonus:)

The only negative is if you are very old or have a disability, you may find the stairs a like tricky. Apart from that this is a lovely place to lay your head when visiting Josselin.
