Les Sables d'Olone is a lovely seaside resort on the coast of the Vendée, and visiting is a delightfully French experience - the architecture, the lovely beach, the bars and restaurants - it's a truly lovely place. There's plenty to see and do there, the people are friendly, and there are plenty of places to stay. It's an attractive mix of old-fashioned and modern, with the added benefit of plenty of street parking. It's a great place to go and unwind for a few days, and I'll most definitely be going back.

The apartment was ideally located, right on the seafront.

The apartment was ideally located, right on the seafront. The promenade is ideal for a lovely stroll with many bars cafes and ice cream vendors. The modern town has some good independent shops bars and cafes. There is a lovely very small Free Tram ride which travels around the outskirts of the town, with various stops at potential places of interest. There are also a number of public car parks.

A beautiful beach worth the trip for a relaxing break. Only 3,5 hours from Paris with a direct train. No need for a car, you can walk and take a bike anywhere. Beautiful countryside around to discover.

An amazing location that I will most certainly return too. Our appartment was in a superb location with beautiful beach, sea views. The appartment was well equipped with every thing needed for self catering. I would give this location 10 out of 10 . Beautiful boutiques with friendly and helpful staff .

It is a rather stylish seaside town.

It is a rather stylish seaside town. Lots of good eating places and a world-class marina with many global yachting events taking place. The streets are clean and well-organised. The cycling infrastructure around the town makes it an enjoyable and healthy means of getting around. Also, the longer-distance cycling paths around the region are a real delight and well worth the effort to explore.

The sea front is not a stunning example of architectural planning but the beach is amazing. Miles of flat clean sand even at high tide the water is shallow out to a considerable distance. A few nice bars and sea front brasserie style restaurants with good sea food; pizza burgers etc but not much higher end cuisine. You can walk around the town easily and there is a passenger ferry to the old town (1.10 euro each way). Great place to walk and relax. We stayed on a busy Ironman weekend so the town was full of bikes and athletes - would recommend hiring a bike to explore further.

The hotel is extremely well situated. We had a decent view of the beach from our room on the third floor and it's two minutes way. It's also really close to the Indigo car park, which is convenient. Rooms are 'standard' but none the worse for it. Clean, comfortable beds, cleaned daily, tea and coffee etc. Wifi works well. People at reception are friendly and helpful. Very good for the money, therefore, and we would return. ps - we were a couple with a child of 11 and had a room with a double and single bed.

The host / receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. Even helped us with getting our luggage to the room. Such a sweet service. The room was very comfortable and provided with nice showergel and shampoo in containers mounted to the wall. Location was also great close to the beach and free parking at a parking place 3 minutes walk from the Hotel. We only stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it.
