Wonderful and peaceful hotel. Very helpful and generous staff. The hotel is close to Fossan beach, about 5-6 min walk, and about 6-7 min from there to Plage des Sablettes, both very nice in my opninion. In my room I had a balcony facing the courtyard, and I discovered with pleasure on my first morning that I had the morning sun there - great for enjoying the first coffee of your day. Nice room with the possibility of making a cup of tea or coffee, and bottled water was offered at the reception to take to your room.

Peille village is very quiet generally, with local residents gathering in the small square at weekends. We went at the end of May and the three restaurants available weren't regularly open - it is best to check with the restaurants themselves around opening hours rather than relying on review sites such as Trip Advisor. We especially liked La Voute which specialises in crepes, in the form of pizzas and also sweet crepes. The area around Peille is walkable if you are fit and don't have mobility issues - I would advise having use of a car if you are able to.

Tiny charming village.

Tiny charming village. Not very easy reachable by car and very difficult to find a parking. Only along the road and if you are not experienced mountain roads driver it can be a challenging and stressful experience.

Spectacular, medieval village of Peille in French mountains above Monaco. Adorable, two-story apartment in renovated ancient house. Upstairs bedroom with sink and shower. Gorgeous mountain, valley and sea view from small balcony. Living room has sleeping sofa and kitchen is fully equipped. Very small toilet on half-landing off of entrance staircase. Great internet. Wonderful host. Easy communication and key available via lock-box. Wonderful opportunity to stay in historic town with modern comforts!!

No breakfast. Great location but terrible directions to get there. We were sent to the wrong house with online directions and had to contact someone to help us as nobody spoke English in Peille. Would’ve of liked to know it was a good walk from the carpark in advance. The house was cute clean and we loved the view and balcony. Unfortunately a local cat poops in the garden box everyday and the entrance smells really bad. My husband had to dig it up and get rid of it.

We loved the silence and tranquility of the place. We enjoyed the pool and the beautiful views. Ideal place to unwind. We wanted to get away from the crowds in Nice and we certainly managed to do that in Peille and at La Vela. We took a taxi from Nice but on our way back we had to take a bus. Peille isn’t serviced by taxis and the railway station is far. Either drive or else bus it to Peille and back.
