The view was stunning, very quiet relaxing property. Room was adequate and spacious, bed comfortable enough. The food was delicious and fresh. Chef and staff go extra lengths for a beautiful dining experience. We were impressed as it is in more of a remote location.

Spectacular views over the West Coast was the perfect place to rest on our cycle trip. The room was luxurious and extremely comfortable. Sally and Roger were very warm and welcoming. They had excellent local knowledge and would well recommend eating with them in the evening. The fish pie is delicious!

Beautiful room, very well equipped and nicely decorated. We had our own bathroom, very nice, with the window through which you could see the forest. Breakfast was great, freshly cooked for us and we could choose what we want -10/10! Our host was very friendly, gave us a lot of good suggestion for our trip. Definitely recommend!

Dude, this place was seriously one of the best stays ever! The place is amazing, and even getting there is like, you're going to heaven. The cabin by the sea is huge and has everything. I'd go back just for the cabin and the views. Plus, there's a super cozy bar, and the live music is the best part.

Lovely 4 star hotel with sea views just 15 minutes from Oban. Very friendly local staff who gave lots of advice about the local area and wildlife. The rooms are quite large and comfortable with Scottish interiors and renovations finished in 2024. There are 2 lounge areas with a wood fire for use also in the day time. Breakfast was served at the table on the breakfast room (extra cost). The restaurant food was very high quality and good value with the same menu for lunch or dinner. Well located for walks and visits with the possibility of seeing wildlife although you would be best with a car. Highly recommended I would love to go back in any season !

We only stayed one night at the Loch Melfort Hotel so didn't have time to explore the area unfortunately. From the view from my hotel room it looked absolutely stunning. We visited the small National Trust garden by the Hotel, which was lovely. We wished we had more time there. I would highly recommend the Hotel though. great views lovely rooms, open fire, fab food.

Ardfern village is home to a pub/ restaurant, a tea room/ restaurant, an adequatly stocked village shop and a boatyard with large mooring facility. Boat trips run from here to see wildlife and whirlpools. Ardfern as an area is a beautiful drive, cycle or walk in to the west offering magnificent sunsets if your timing is right. It is also well located for touring.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff. Check in was easy, room was clean and stylish. We had a beautiful evening meal which was 5 star quality in both taste and presentation and an excellent breakfast again excellent quality and taste. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother. We stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it so came back again and I can honestly say it was even better this time I can highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be visiting again.

Ardfern is a small village with a great hotel, we have stayed at before, the access road is one track with passing places. Having driven on these roads in the past it's not a problem, but could be for city drivers. Oban is about 25 miles to the north and the historic landscape of Kilmartin with its museum is only about 7 miles to the south. Crinan with it's canal is just a few miles further, another one track road. Altogether a beautiful part of the world.

Very smartly decorated with comfortable rooms and lounge bar . Restaurant looks beautiful The staff were fantastic. Storm Amy had caused a power cut so no electricity or mobile signal. We arrived to find a lot of the hotel very dark but friendly staff reassuring us that our room was ready and they could supply us with an evening meal and breakfast. Given battery lamps and dinner by candlelight. Excellent food. Will definitely visit again
