Food in the restaurant was good quality.
Food in the restaurant was good quality. We were there as a group and we were all happy with our main courses. I was pleased with the breakfast in the morning. I was very unhappy with the room the shower tray was not draining the water, leak and the window sill was all wet, damage to the inside of the bathroom door as well as the bottom of the wooden door going into the bedroom. The view and cottage is to die for.
The view and cottage is to die for. But facilities need to improve for a self catering nature of stay. It mentions Ardlui group of Hotels, but when we reached at 6 pm the hotel staff said they had nothing to do with the property. Very conveniently located in a beautiful setting alongside...
Very conveniently located in a beautiful setting alongside Loch Lomond. Breakfasts were served buffet style but also with a full cooked breakfast included and in a pleasant room overlooking the loch. Food was delicious. Initially booked into a room with a rain leak from the ceiling onto the internal window sill but staff were able to book me into a change of room for the three nights and this room was a slight upgrade, comfortable and with all facilities provided. Darren could not have been a more helpful host. We had walked from Balmaha that day and just missed the last ferry across to Ardlui. Darren went down to the ferry terminal to ask them to come back over and collect us and they did! Also upon seeing how exhausted we all were, he then went and collected our bags from the hotel. I arrived with injured leg and the manager at the reception let me in ( although the hotel was supposed to be open only later), gave me my room earlier and made sure someone will bring the luggage to the room.
