Upon arrival we were immediately swept away by the pittoresque aesthetic of the building. The staff, in all different area of the hotel were extremely polite, friendly and professional. I can imagine it is a very nice place to work! The hotel has a history with bad boy DuVall but what most visitors do not know is the legend of 'The Midnight Stapler"... Strongly recommend to ask about this myth and let it leave you in awe.

Fantastic hotel. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, every aspect of my stay was absolutely outstanding. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Throughout my stay, I encountered no issues or inconveniences, thanks to the exceptional service and efficiency of the staff. They were readily available to answer any questions. One of the standout features of this hotel was its charming eating area – warm and inviting atmosphere. The tasteful decor, comfortable seating, and pleasant ambiance created the perfect setting for enjoying a delicious meal. The staff in the restaurant were attentive, friendly, and provided exceptional service, making each dining experience a true delight. The culinary delights offered at the hotel's restaurant were simply exquisite. The menu featured a wide array of delectable dishes, expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. A beautiful home to stay in! The room (Large Double Room with En-Suite Shower) and bathroom were immaculate. The bed was super comfortable. Our host was friendly and lovely to chat with. Breakfast was hearty and delicious! Parking was easy and the location perfect to walk into Banbury.

    its a great great place and very centrally located to GREAT places. Of note Cotswolds, Many villages around such as Hook Norton Bloxham is nice airy place you can walk around.. lots of pubs- the red lion is highly recommended
