A small town with facilities as needed. A good base to explore Skye - we were travelling from ferry in Uist and broke our long drive for one night. We visited the wildlife hide nearby - the area is great for marine wildlife.

Broadford is well located to travel across all Skye, but also not too far from the bridge of Skye to reach back to mainland. It has a supermarket and some restaurants. A walk on the shore is beautiful.

Passing through, needed a base.

Passing through, needed a base. It’s a bit out of the way, no buses in evening to connect to rest of Skye for returning from activities. The coop nearby makes for good grocery shopping, and the shoreline trail is scenic, for a short walk. Bus stop is a 5 min walk.

Good location that was the only plus. Sea view room at an extra cost but window unit blown and all misted up on the inside so spoiled the view. Expensive bar prices. Poor breakfast. Bathroom door would not close.

Impressed by our hosts who, learning before we came that I am disabled, put up a rail for me to use on the steps! We loved Portree, Dunvegan, Kileakin and Plockton best. Had undelievably delicious meals at Plockton Shores Hotel and a hotel in Portree near the information centre. Freshest of fresh cod (It had been swimming in the north sea just a few hours before)and amazing langoustines. And not at all expensive. At The Heaste itself we loved the silence and when it got dark the bright moon shining over the loch . Everywhere luxuriously appointed. Gorgeous Egyptian cotton sheets and towels. There are sheep around. Very white sheep! And cows wearing cowbells. The blue of the water shining in the sun, the varying shades of purple and grey in the hills.The heather and the scent of the air, so different from our own in London. Road between us and Broadford very narrow and surface not always good. Recommend you come in a small car. But we loved Broadford and the view from ouside the Co op where we bought our supplies. And the scent of the air everywhere

We stayed a short drive from town.

We stayed a short drive from town. The town itself is small with a few a restaurants but a great place to base for touring Skye. We got takeaway pizza one night from Cafe Sia and dined in at The Sprig the second night. We also did some shopping at the Co-op, which was well stocked.

We had the most wonderful stay at Crossroads B&B. Everything was absolutely perfect — the room was immaculately clean, the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the shower pressure was spot on. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts are truly special people — so warm, welcoming, and full of helpful advice for our Skye itinerary. We especially appreciated the thoughtful gesture of delicious homemade Butteries to take with us on the road. We felt genuinely cared for and completely at home. Highly, highly recommend!

Clean, modern, comfortable cabin. Great bed, fully equipped, modern kitchen, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge. Everything needed for self-catering is there. We had a lovely stay! The location on Isle of Skye is great.
