The Plough Inn is beautifully situated. The accomodation was comfortable and spotless and the owners were friendly and helpful, cooking a tasty meal and breakfast for us even though the inn was closed that day. The atmosphere was relaxed and homely.

Beautiful setting and building Friendly welcoming staff I received a free upgrade which meant I got to stay in the main house. I saw a cosy lounge area for afternoon tea. Beautiful grand staircase. Festive decorations made it really warm and cosy. Attended a party in the stable area. Perfect for a sit down meal for around 60 people. Food was fantastic and hot. Service was excellent Late checkout is 11am which leaves time to enjoy the breakfast from a menu. Not by buffet style. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were...

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were caught up in heavy traffic on the A20 enroute to Dover. Apparently that happens quite frequently, so factor this in to travel times. Very close to Leeds Castle, and not far from Canterbury and Sissinghurst so plenty to do in the area.

The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles...

The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles from the village down a narrow and windy country lane. The pub is on its own with hardly any other buildings within walking distance. Charing itself is an extremely attractive village and well worth a visit for an hour or so.

The staff was very friendly and quick to serve.

The staff was very friendly and quick to serve. They also prepared delicious sandwiches for us to take on the go. Downstairs in the cafe, it was very cozy and pleasantly decorated. I highly recommend it.

The room was great, clean and really well furnished. The tea and coffee tray was the best I have ever seen in a pub/hotel ! I love the fact that the owner left everything you need (water, and even wine!), and you can even order food from the pub in your room. I highly recommend it and will maybe stay again myself.

Friendly greeting from Molly on arrival and she made us feel really welcome. Lovely cosy room with comfy bed in the converted barn with a great shower and luxurious towels. Delicious supper and full breakfast the next morning. Traditional old pub in rural Kent with a great welcome and super food.

A good hotel with a cozy pub with friendly staff. Quietly located in the countryside and close to the tunnel. Breakfast was good. Because we had to get to the Eurotunnel on time they served us as early as possible. Lots of free parkingspace and quiet at night.

I loved everything about this inn. Friendly, polite, and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, comfortable room, lovely setting, and friendly locals too. The staff booked me a taxi with a woman driver as I was going to an event at The Charing Pavillion.

Nothing to dislike. We enjoyed our stay the evening meal on our first night was fabulous. All cooked and presented to a high standard. Room and breakfast did not disappoint. Would stay again so peaceful and secluded in the Kent Countryside.
