The Foxham Inn is a little gem! Beautifully situated in the countryside, the Foxham is a really good restaurant, known for its fish specialities. With much love and dedication, the team not only looks after the guests during lunch and dinner, but also fulfils all the wishes of the guests staying in the two small rooms above the restaurant. The breakfast, which was freshly prepared for us every day, was really delicious and always gave us a good start to the day. The rooms have everything you need, starting from a comfy bed, a tv, free Wifi, an on suite bathroom and a nice quiet surrounding. And if you fancy a good meal or a cold drink, you just have to walk down the stairs or drive to the sister Pub "The Rising Sun" in Christian Malford (1,5 miles) - brilliant! We felt completely at home at the Foxham Inn and would be very happy to come back again!

The spacious room, toilet and comfy bed. The owner was easily contactable and friendly and he made it a point to meet us upon arrival and departure. Lovely host indeed. There are only 3 rooms at this property. There were full amenities in the toilet. The location is very far from shops or restaurants so if your intended stay is for just for sleeping and to experience some sort of farmhouse concept then this property will be ideal. I loved the simple breakfast concept where everything was prepared in advance and kept in the fridge. It was stocked with cereal, juices, milk, yoghurt, jam, butter and fruits! So you sort of have a breakfast in bed kinda thing. Alternatively, there is a small table setup with tableware and cutleries as a place to have breakfast.

Hosts were very helpful in making sure we could find the place easily. There was lots of lovely attention to detail. Games to play .Milk had been left for us in the fridge so we could have a cuppa. Really cosy atmosphere when we walked in fairy lights and lamps had been turned on. Shower was nice and hot the bed was extra comfy. Not a single complaint . Might benefit from a matt as you walk in though the door matt outside was very wet from the snow/ rain we didn't want to walk wet shoes in. Wonderful stay .

Beautiful little apartment in a lovely small village. Great to be able to park right outside the door. Everything we needed including a bottle of wine and biscuits. Very easy check in. Nice walk around the village and a 20 minute drive into Bath.

Pleasant little town with some good restaurant choices: Chinese (closed Mondays), Fish and Chips (not catering for Gluten Free) and Avanti Italian (does cater well for food intolerances) and recommended

We had a lovely break visiting family at Reading and Bath,...

We had a lovely break visiting family at Reading and Bath, so ideal location south of the M4. Castle Coombe is beautiful and we managed to catch a look at The Ferrari Owners Club racing by luck. The White Hart at Ford is close by and very welcoming with a great menu and good range of beers and a riverside garden.

Pleasant town with good shops and cafes/restaurants. Particularly like the wine Monkey. Short train ride to Bath and excellent 55 bus to Calne, Wooton Bassett and Swindon outlet centre running every 20 minutes.

Chippenham has a great variety of shops including lots of lovely charity shops for meandering around, most large banks (unusual to see this when you live in the South East with all the branch closures, so it was noticeable) and all of the amenities you'd expect in a small town. Lots of options for coffee shops or dining, nice walks and a historic, quaint feel to the place. Lovely to see people feeding the swans, ducks and pigeons by the river. We visited in December, but I bet it's even more lovely in the spring/summer. I would definitely go back!

Visiting friends in the area over Christmas as a solo traveller with dog. Wanted a hotel with car park and ground floor room. Although the hotel was very full the management arranged an easily accessible room for me. That was the essentials covered. To my delight I discovered a beautiful friendly festive welcome. Breakfast was superb. Many return guests - always a good sign. Jonathan the manager oversaw proceedings and happily went the extra mile with special requests.

Beautiful English country house hotel - with lovely English country gardens. Staff were a particular strong point. We had a group with numerous dietary requirements which were all met and delivered without any fuss. Service in the Michelin rated dining room was first class at dinner. Very pleasant areas at spa, both inside and outside, to relax in whether or not having treatments. Overall an excellent hotel experience.

An incredible spa hotel in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside. Stayed here recent for an over night stay with my other half, and was blown away! Such a beautiful hotel with great decor throughout, with lovely modern comfort rooms. Nice clean, modern spa facilities. The food at the restaurant was exceptional. I will definitely be coming back again in the future!
