Actually, I live in Crewkerne - a very nice place to live, and I recommend it to visitors as its location is excellent for access to both the south coast and the many tourist sites in the area. Crewkerne has an excellent little museum which gives a good insight into the history. Wals around the town and nearby countryside are full of lovely views.

There is nothing worth visiting at Crewkerne itself in our opinion, but there is a very nice Indian restaurant called the Mint lounge where we ate. Good value and nice and clean. We only stayed there as we were visiting relatives who lived close by. It is quite handy for national trust properties there are 4 within easy reach and all worth a visit.

George hotel was easy to find, parking was very close, crewkerne is a small town but in a good place to be able to travel to near by attractions and for us it was close to our family as we had a funeral to go to,we will be staying there again sometime.

Nice enough town, plenty of shopping places.

Nice enough town, plenty of shopping places. Handy as a base to explore 30 minutes from the coast. Most eating places are closed early in the week so you need to travel out of town unless you like curry or £30+ per head meals. Transport links a bit disjointed due to major road closures.

Crewkerne is a medium size market town with beautiful buildings. It has only one hotel and that is the Crooked Swan Inn which is highly recommended. The town has all the other services to make a pleasant stay.

Crewkerne was ok.

Crewkerne was ok. We only stay there because it was the closet town to a venue we were attending. My only issue is that it is difficult to get a meal in Crewkerne on a Sunday evening - only one option really

We loved our stay in this quirky hotel.Huge room, bed and bathroom with a lovely deep bath.Although our room overlooked the main junction in Crewkerne, there was very little noise and we slept soundly. Cooked breakfast looked fantastic!
