Such a wholesome experience at The Vale Hotel! Couldn’t recommend this lovely accomodation more. Ian was a lovely owner and helped us with everything we needed. The bed was ridiculously comfortable (we tried to see the brand so we could purchase one ourselves haha).

Breakfast was delicious. I chose a package that included breakfast. There were a variety of options to choose. Beds were very comfortable. Furnishings were lovely. My husband thought it was the nicest place that we stayed on our 12 day trip.

A nice old town, with a great variety of old buildings that make it an interesting place to wander around. A decent selection of pubs for its size, most of which do food and there are cafes too during shopping hours.

We were actually visiting the Gloucestershire Vintage &...

We were actually visiting the Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza on South Cerney airfield, and our three day visit to display our car on our car club stand was fantastic. We drove through the village which looked delightful and probably worth exploring.

Beautiful rural location in the heart of the English...

Beautiful rural location in the heart of the English Cotswolds. Small town but with enough food and and drink options to satisfy most tastes for a weekend away. Easy enough to get to from the M4 motorway and larger towns nearby for more options. Some beautiful picturesque postcard villages all within 30 minute drive. Pro tip: Pack for all weathers and bring a good pair of wellies if you’re planning on some walks with the dog!

Loved the home cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price in a family run store near to where I was staying. I also loved how friendly the people in the community were and the peacefulness of the village. I wish I had longer to stay and get to know the place more.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this excellent hotel and we couldn't be more impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and impeccable service. The quality of the facilities is truly exceptional; from the comfort of the rooms to the breathtaking views they offer. The indoor pool and sauna are perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration, and the restaurant offers a sublime culinary experience. Every dish was a delight to the senses, and the attention to detail in presentation and flavor was simply spectacular. Without a doubt, this hotel exceeded all our expectations and has become our favorite place to stay. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in a setting of luxury and comfort.

This is a beautiful tranquil place to stay. The room was very large, with kitchenette and queen bed. The spa facilities were clean and relaxing. The staff were especially attentive as it was my partners birthday and arranged for extras during our stay to help us celebrate. This left me to relax. Definitely return to this hotel. Also breakfast pretty good.

We are walking the Thames and were greeted on our arrival with sympathy and understanding! It’s a Sunday night I was quiet and we ate at the hotel. The food was delicious fusion cooking all fresh and delicious. Drink making facilities in the room, but no biscuits. A good place to stop if you’re walking the Thames.

It was perfectly located for the Thames walk. We got a taxi to the source and walked back to Cricklade- hence two night here. It was very reasonably priced and you get what you pay for.
