    Great centre for discovering the North Norfolk Coast. Must see is Wells next the sea with lovely harbour and shops and also sample the crab sandwiches at the Crab Hut - Brancaster Staithes Harbour - the best.

    A small market town which is a good centre for visiting...

    A small market town which is a good centre for visiting north Norfolk. A good market on a Thursday. Plenty of shops. In the town though there are not many restaurants or independent pubs. There are, however, some on the outskirts.

    Fakenham is a market town which sadly seems to be struggling at the moment. It is generally quiet and people seem friendly. It needs some investment as it does have potential to be a lovely place to stay. Good centre to travel around Norfolk to explore the lovely area around.

    We discovered Checkers, a country pub in Binham about 10 miles from Fakenham. The food was excellent and the hosts were very personable and fun! The Christmas Spectacular in Thursford was just that!!!

    Fakenham is a good location for the coast but the town itself is small with only a few places to eat and drink and a small cinema, but pretty quite. Nice chalk stream with footpath right next to cottage. Nice pub a short walk out of town too, in next hamlet, near a common

    The town itself was quite so don’t expect raving night life. Good friendly local pub, excellent fish and chip shop close to Cromwell Cottage and a superb pub/ restaurant Sculthorpe Mill a fey minutes out of town.

    The location was ideal for the purpose of our visit to Fakenham. The welcome on arrival was brilliant, considering we had been held up in traffic and were later than expected. Despite the kitchen being about to close, the proprietor made an exception and we had a good basic meal. The accommodation was very adequate and comfortable and clean. The included continental breakfast was perfectly adequate. Check out was quick and easy, so overall a good experience.

    Cosy cottage in Hempton on the outskirts of Fakenham. Has everything you could need. Could always get parked out on the road. Shower was really good. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had all you need. Great communication from host Jason, very helpful with directions etc. Key access was by lock box which we prefer. Nice & quiet location but good access to local amenities. Good value for money.

Ellie is a very helpful host. Lovely walled garden. On working arable farm and livery in beautiful, unspoilt and peaceful countryside yet short journey to Fakenham and the coast
