Great place to stay if you're planning on going on hikes. The staff were super welcoming, the house beautiful with incredible views. There's a drying room for wet clothes and shoes. A small breakfast is included (there was even gluten free bread with a seperate toaster and gluten free cereal). The pressure in the showers is great, there's a wee shop, would absolutely recommend! I didn't use it myself but also saw that there's a system for people going in the mountains to leave a description of your route and when you're planning to be back, so they can call for help if you don't return

One of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in. Overall, it compares favourably with similarly-priced hotels and in many respects is better. Jo, the owner/host is super-hospitable and made our stay a real delight. We were even treated to some home-made chicken soup in the evening while the made-to-order breakfast was another highlight.

Warm and welcoming hospitality. The entire place is surrounded by nature, offering a sense of peace and beauty that's hard to describe. One of the highlights of our stay was the unforgettable breakfast — hands down the best pancakes I've ever tasted, and the toast was simply perfect. As if that weren’t enough, we were lucky enough to witness a breathtaking full rainbow arching right in front of us — a truly magical moment that we'll never forget. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special and serene escape. Don’t be discouraged by some reviews describing the access road as difficult — it’s actually manageable. The narrow, one-lane road is rarely a problem thanks to the very light traffic. It’s absolutely worth the drive for such an incredible experience.

I brought my own food along and prepared it in the industrial kitchen which was spotless and well stocked with crockery and pans etc. The water's edge is a 5 - 10 minute walk away with stunning views. There is a fast flowing river again a short walk away where you can be alone if you want. I would love to stay again and was sad to leave.

It's a small place but in a vast, magnificent, mountainous wonderland! Fantastic, centralised location for visiting all the wonderful places in and adjacent to Assynt. Lochinver is just a few short miles away but the drive takes you through the beautiful landscape. Once there there are all the local amenities you'll need - local supermarket, restaurants, petrol station and the excellent Pie Shack at Lochinver Larder. Great base for whatever form your adventures take.
