Lily has quite literally thought of everything. Really lovely touches and care and attention eveywhere and an unexpected view of the lighthouse from bed :) Some great llittle venues nearby to enjoy breakfast by an open fire at The Mess in the old fort on the beach (although Lily provides everything you need for an ample breakfast), lunch at Bistro115 and live music at Tallulahs Emporium till the early hours. Some lovely shops too explore, Sup near the train station a must for gifts and just a 20 minute hop on a train into Liverpool city centre (running every 20 mins). Fully recommend Lily's lovely pad (did we mention its painted wonderful colours outside so you can't miss it :) for a wholesome yet fun seaside escape! Thank you for having us, we'll be back x

What a fantastic property. amazing decor and layout. Plenty of supplies for breakfast including a coffee machine. lovely comfortable beds. Great takeaway 50 yards down the road. New Brighton beach and the promenade is just a short drive away. The cleaning lady, Maria I think, was delightful and although we were a bit late checking out the owner was very understanding and sweet about it. Honestly couldn't fault anything about it.

The evening lights on the river were amazing and the free parking everywhere. We really enjoyed the mural trail in the Victorian quarter . Would have enjoyed the independent shops but it was Sunday so not many open which was to be expected.

We enjoy the walk along the promenade which has such wonderful views across the Mersey and Liverpool. We had plenty of choice of eating places near our apartment and enjoyed eating at The Magazine and The Ferry,

I found it initially rather depressing when I arrived, but...

I found it initially rather depressing when I arrived, but soon began to find it very interesting. There's no grand promenade that I could see, but I wasn't able to explore it as I was in Liverpool for a Conference which started early and I returned late each day. People seem really friendly, and I wish I could have had the time to look around a lot more.

We really like New Brighton, it has loads of old fashioned...

We really like New Brighton, it has loads of old fashioned seaside character and some good pubs and eateries. However, the facilities are often very expensive for families and there isn’t enough done to make use of the lovely beach, marina and promenade. There should be some gardens to walk through or sit in…..some activities in the marina….and generally less emphasis on indoor facilities which are expensive and don’t encourage tourists to be outside. Also too many boarded up premises and not enough outside facilities where people can eat, drink or relax with a view of the sea, cranes and ship movements. It’s got so, so much potential and could be an even better holiday resort than it already is.

Lovely beach with amazing views across the River Mersey and...

Lovely beach with amazing views across the River Mersey and into Liverpool. Friendly people and also plenty to see and do there with also a supermarket (Morrisons) and other shops including Iceland and Home Bargains and plenty of food outlets including Greggs and Subway as well as other cafes and places to have fish and chips. I would highly recommend New Brighton to others and I am already considering going back there again later in the year!

Great walk along the Egremont Promenade followed by a Mersey...

Great walk along the Egremont Promenade followed by a Mersey Ferry trip from Seacombe to the Pier Head. Alternatively, a walk along the New Brighton Promenade past Wallasey Village to Leasowe lighthouse makes for a pleasant stroll. Pop in to the Pilot Boat Hotel for a meal and a chat with the locals over a drink or two.

This is an ideal location for visiting New Brighton, as it's a lovely 20 minute walk along the promenade to the centre. We stayed in the Penthouse. The property is easy to find, and access information is so detailed it is easy to enter once you arrive. Clean, spacious, tea, coffee, sugar, plenty of milk, a lovely fresh loaf that looked homemade, jams butter and cereal. All toiletries supplied, also hairdryer. Had a small balcony, which we used as the weather was nice. Excellent little find.

A great find. The New Brighton is a lovely place to visit. It is very clean, spacious rooms, fine cuisine, welcoming staff and it is set in a lovely area that is not known to many. I will be coming here many times from now on
