Paignton is a seasonal seaside town, with a beach, pier and all the shops you expect to find in a holiday town. There are high street shops further into the town. The Vue cinema is on the beach with restaurants and cafes nearby. Plenty of choices for places to eat for people of all ages. Paignton is fairly flat and easy to navigate with mobility issues.

Paignton is a lively town with a shopping centre with open shops. It is a perfect location for visiting South Devon with its excellent transport hub. It also has a steam railway running to Dartmouth and Agatha Christie’s Greenways.

If you’ve not been to Paignton you’ll find plenty to do in and around the area. One of my favourite places in the U.K. Henry’s Bar a was very welcoming with great drinks and food. My grandchildren loved Paignton zoo, and they’re experts with annual passes for Chester zoo!

Paignton is a great place to be based to explore the local area. Trains, buses and seasonal ferry boats to several local towns. Plus it is nice and flat for long walks along the prom, to the harbour and high street. High street is a little jaded with amusement arcades but same as other towns I imagine.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay.Only had a short walk to beach and fun fair straight across from hotel which shut down at 9pm for you early birds I'd suggest a room at the rear.We ate at the Palace Hotel on first evening which wasn't to our liking but it seemed busy throughout the week. This was our first holiday in Devon and the Palace pulled us to paighton which is great with lots to keep the whole family busy definitely would reccomend this Hotel and paighton.

Handy position on Paignton seafront. Be fair to say this family run "traditional" hotel caters mainly for older discerning couples/families and a bit of turkey and tinsel... those appreciate good service and value. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. Really love the lounge and veranda area sited at the front of the hotel where the help yourself tea/coffee can be found. The super king bed was really comfortable a the whole hotel was warm and cosy.

We regularly visit Paignton and booked this hotel due to the location on the sea front and also on site car parking with EV Charging. As a Genius Member and frequent traveller, we requested a complimentary room upgrade with a sea view, but we ere advised there were no rooms available, which we found very strange as several sea view rooms were showing as available on booking.com when we made our late booking.

Lovely, helpful staff in a wonderful hotel with incredible character. Considering facilities available, our stay felt like excellent value for money with sea views from our small balcony. Cannot fault the location or our experience overall.

Great location, especially for seafront, eateries and ferries. Fabulous room, tastefully decorated with sea views. Brand new bathroom. Great choices for breakfast, especially dairy-free milks. Super friendly host Helen, such a lovely lady.
