We really liked staying at Knockendarroch. The hotel is located in a gorgeous, historical building on top a hill, offering great views of the Pitlochry area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. There plenty of parking on the premises. The hotel offers great breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of options to pick from. We also had our dinners at the hotel restaurant as well. The dinner was delicious as well. Each day, there is a different dinner menu (appetizer, main and dessert). We tried several items. We really liked venison, lamb and pork roulette. Pitlochry and the area offer a lot of great place to explore. Other further away sights, Balmoral, Perth or St Andrews, are easily reachable on a day trip.

We had to book an impromptu stay because my son caught a stomach bug on a tour to the highlands. Big Karen was amazingly helpful and kind through it all. She let us check in early, gave directions to different places in town, and provided us with tons of extra linens. The rooms were nice and clean and breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend the Acarsaid to anyone staying in Pitlochry.

The room was very big, classy, had all the items/comforts one could need. The bathroom was spacious, water pressure excellent, and water nice and hot! It was nice to have a room (as an American) where the heating was on, which I turned down to "0" but was able to open the windows for cooler air at night to help me sleep better. The breakfast offerings were tremendous and even though it was busy, I was able to get a table for me and my travel companion to enjoy the meal and scenery looking out over the property! The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had all the things I needed. Special shout out to Zoshya at the front desk who was able to get me two extra bottled waters for my trip! So kind and friendly!

Plenty of coffeee shops and some quaint little independent shops. Could do with a couple of 'specialist' restaurants although nearly all hotels do evening meals. Prices are increasing in lots of places nowadays which makes it necessary to curb spending on items bought on a whim.

A pleasant little town. Plenty of good walks in the area. Could visit without a car and find it very pleasant. The dam and visitor centre are worth seeing. The Festival Theatre is excellent and the “Enchanted Forest” light and music experience in October and early November is not to be missed.

Pitlochry is a beautiful Highland Perthshire town surrounded by lovely countryside and hills. It's an excellent centre for walking and cycling, while its Festival Theatre has a programme of performances throughout the year. It's a place my family and I have visited many times over the years. We were there at the time of the annual Enchanted Forest event (though didn't attend) - and impressive light and sound show in the middle of a forest, which is particularly great for children.

This beautiful hotel in the heart of Pitlochry, has a nice swimming pool and a jacuzzi. This establishment also provides a gym. The breakfast was excellent, you had the full english breakfast and the scottish haggis while having right next the usual european breakfast so you really could choose out of. The location is perfect with nice views from the window. The bed was comfortable and there was a big telly with many channels. The bathroom had a really long bathtub. The room was clean and had some nice biscuits next to the coffee machine.

Beautiful traditional hotel (that's clearly currently getting some re-decoration and freshening). Room (3 single beds) was huge with double aspect windows. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet through the night so we all slept very well. Buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. Amazing central location in Pitlochry, easy walking distance to the Festival Theatre. Would definitely stay again.
