Very nice place. Whereas in my experience with most holiday homes you don't get to meet anyone (there are only messages and code to key safe) it must be said that meeting the host in person really adds to the positive experience, thank you Rona for your hospitality, friendliness and help.

The location was perfect, the bedroom was excellent, and it was a good shower. I loved the breakfast. The rosemary omelette was divine. Rupert is a fantastic host and so helpful to us. When it was time to leave, he helped us with our final preparations. A big thank you to Rupert 🙏.

The accommodation is very nice and quiet, making it an ideal place to stay, especially for those sailing in or out of South Uist. The hosts, Peter and Archie, are incredibly helpful and respond to any issues promptly. The rooms are nicely furnished, offering a comfortable atmosphere, and the kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped. Additionally, having a washing machine available is a significant advantage for guests.

incredible. Linda was a superb host and the pod was really danatatsic. My recommendation for staying here would be to do it if you have a car, but then I would probably say that about the island as a whole as it’s a better way of getting round. the pod was super clean and the bed was very comfy. had a great time and will be back!

South Uist is very rural, so pick places to eat, and get...

South Uist is very rural, so pick places to eat, and get booked if possible. Locals book, so you may not find availability everywhere! We had a drink at the SS Politician Pub on Eriskay (about 8 miles from the pod). Food looked good but we didn't eat there. We also ate at Hebridean Jewellery Cafe, and Charlie's Bistro. Both of which we recommend and were busy. You can buy supplies at the local Co-op at Lochboisdale for every type of food/drink you require! Easy location to get around, one main road, and a few side roads. Great for swimming, fishing and walking, but make sure you get the right fishing permit!

Excellent accommodation beaches and walking routes also easy...

Excellent accommodation beaches and walking routes also easy to access walking routes around the Island. Book a trip to Barra well in advance if you want to take your car or hire bikes to use there. Our lady of the Isles is well worth a visit it it is an excellent viewing point with wild horses nearby.
