Everything was just perfect, as described, clean warm cosy and welcoming. It was immediately obvious that the hosts go out of their way to give guests a perfect overnight stay. Really nice deco too.

the swimming pool is fantastic: However it would be advisable to educate people not to use the sauna with the swimming suit as when wet it spoils the wood and the clorine is very unhealthy in the atmosphere to breath in. Also it should be stressed that people should use towels to sit on the sauna to prevent sweat from dripping off on the wooden seats

We want to thank a lot the staff a lot. We were checking in after midnight, because of the long delay of our flight. The staff was very responsive and accomodating, given it was passed their check-in hours. The bed was also ver comfy and bathroom very clean. Tip for travellers who are not used to pub culture in UK, bring along earplugs, as there may be some notice from the street. Nevertheless, it adds the charm to the place.

The superking size bed was fabulous and having a small window in the eye sight from the bed that looked out onto fields gave such a relaxing vibe. The apartment was spacious and well thought through! No expense was spared in making sure the visit was as relaxing as possible! Great selection of breakfast choices!

Very spacious house with 3 bathrooms. Totally recently renovated with taste and quality. Comfortable mattresses. Sparkling clean. Well equipped modern kitchen. We really felt at home . Pubs and tearooms at walking distance. Lovely and charming village.

It was in an excellent location, very convenient for visiting York, and Riccall has an excellent Italian restaurant in a converted windmill, which is handy. The property has been converted to a very high standard and is very quiet. The decor was stylish and tasteful. There was a pretty garden and a lovely view over the lake and grounds of the house next door. Apart from the fact that we had a problem with the key box to get in, which the owners sorted quickly, we have nothing negative to report.

The cottage was perfect, and has all the comforts of home from home with a lovely secluded patio area that enjoys the sunshine all day. Peggy and Rod were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect too, away from the main road but with the main bus route from Riccall about a mile up the road into York and Selby. Great location to drive to local gardens and attractions and not far from Pickering to spend a day on the NYMR! Highly recommend.

Good location for us to visit our daughter son in law and grandson as they live in Riccall. Nice restaurant and cafe and two pubs nearby. Parking space was available on the premises .
