It was just lovely.

It was just lovely. The house was beautiful and well decorated and had lovely old architectural features. The bedroom was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was so good!! Lots of food and all delicious. Can’t say enough good things about Avril and Sue. Great ladies with a heart for hospitality. We especially appreciated our afternoon tea after arriving.

There is plenty to see within a 20 mile radius of the sleepy...

There is plenty to see within a 20 mile radius of the sleepy village which overlooks Loch Fyne and Inveraray on the other side of the loch. We visited Old Lachlan Castle and Kilmorie Chapel and hiked up Dun na Cuaiche which overlooks Inveraray Castle during our stay. The latter is a lengthy and steep walk. The area in general is very scenic.

Saint Catherines is quiet, but on the Lochside overlooking...

Saint Catherines is quiet, but on the Lochside overlooking Inveraray. You definitely need a car to stay there and see the areas around. It's about a 20 mins drive to Loch Lomond and the same to Inveraray.
