Breakfast was lovely and the location was great for staying after a ferry crossing to Cairnryan. We had dogs with us and there was a bowl of food and water waiting for them which was a lovely touch.

Breakfast was amazing. Loved fresh juices, fruit and overall variety. Avocado toast was yummy…one wee recommendation is to add some salt, sesame seeds etc to flavor it up a bit. The atrium sunroom was spectacular.

The scenery, the location, the staff were lovely (especially Elaine). There'd been a mix up on booking.com which was very kindly sorted quickly. I felt very relaxed, comfortable & at home & would definitely rebook. :)

Electric key safe outside door was so easy to open, apartment was very nicely equipped and looked very modern. Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and clean. Both Bathrooms were also very clean and well equipped. The one thing I loved is the fact that the host keeps the remotes in a new ziplock bag so they can be used without touching, it is said to be the dirties part of any house or hotel room, saying that the remotes were or looked new. Nice big tv and lovely fireplace. Quiet location with no noise from outside or anywhere else. I would highly recommend staying here, it’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny. We were here for 3 weeks and didn’t have one problem or regret. Host has done a great job and can’t thank him enough.

We stayed for 1 night to attend a music concert by "Beat The Drum", a tribute to Runrig. A brilliant evening! We've always liked Troon so took the opportunity to stay overnight and sample some of the local bars and restaurants. We used "The Fox" on Saturday evening for drinks and dinner and would highly recommend it. We cleared our heads the following morning by walking along the beach. Very friendly town.

Too short a trip for a full review but spent a good hour on the beach walking with lots of locals and their dogs and got to watch a magnificent sunset. If you like walking and exploring, Troon seems to be pretty easy to navigate with lots of interesting buildings - and that beach.

Lovely beach and promenade.

Lovely beach and promenade. Excellent selection of coffee shops and restaurants. Very friendly helpful staff in all shops and cafés. Great pitch and putt on seafront suitable for whole family. Several play parks on promenade with good equipment.

Troon in October is a lovely quiet town with the advantage...

Troon in October is a lovely quiet town with the advantage of being on the coast. Really liked the Harbour bar - great band on, on saturday night. Ate at the Lido Troon, which was very cool, great service and good food. Scotts was a lovely restaurant. I went to Dumfries House and walked Ness Glen - beautiful.

I was born and brought up in Troon so I am biased. Troon is a lovely seaside town full of lovely freindly people. The town has a decent selection of shops. I found the town very quiet compared to how it was when I grew up.

Lovely wee coastal town with good eateries for every pocket and nice wee independent shops to explore. Swimming pool, library, pretty town hall and two scenic beaches. Troon is within easy reach of other Ayrshire seasde towns like Prestwick and Ayr. Kilmarnock is also within reach and Glasgow is an easy drive up the M77. However there is a train station too and if you enjoy golf you'll be spoilt Parking in the town is free and plentiful. Not a review of Troon per se but to holiday letters in general - these key boxes are murder on arthritic fingers - I have a splt fingernail with underlying blood blister to prove it. Ouch! Also note to Booking.com - please don't put a union flag beside my name in the reviews! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 FOREVER.

Went to Troon to play the Old Course. (The hotel is a hundred yards from the clubhouse. My wife is not a golfer, but she walked miles on the beach a quarter mile away.) We had a sea/course view, as to many of the tables in the restaurant. (We only ate breakfast there, which was very good.) The staff seemed to manage this very busy (golfers!) hotel in a professional and responsive manner; they certainly met our needs. We used the pool and jacuzzi, which were fine. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there if we ever return.

Hotel is clean and tidy, staff are friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was tasty and of good quality, we had breakfast in the conservatory which was a nice touch, when booking we were unaware of the garden and seating area where you can have a drink, we used this area and thoroughly enjoyed it as the weather was lovely. all in all a very relaxing overnight stay.

Lovely apartment. Very conveniently placed. 2 minutes from the Lido and a chip shop. Walking distance to the supermarket and beach. We were there in November, so weather wasnt great but it was cosy and everything there to make it a comfortable stay. 5 minutes drive to the Marine Hotel and Piersland House. Will definitely return

This is a great hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the place is nice and clean. Dinners and breakfast were excellent. I totally recommend this place if you are going to troon. As it is in a great location only a few minutes walk to the beach and in some rooms you have a sea view. Brilliant.
