This hotel is a real gem, the rooms are superb and are cleaned regularly. The beds are comfortable and you have aircon that really does work. The breakfasts were one of the best I had during countless stays in Gambia and will match the likes of some of the other larger hotels with a simular namesake. The airy dinning rooms are decorated impeccably and the food quality and presentation was stunning. The overriding feature at this hotel is the customer service given by all members of staff, you will not come away disappointed. You are looked after in all aspects and the management team work together to support staff and there customers. This hotel was an accidental find but I will gladly return again and again.

Palmarima is an excellent place.I booked quickly a few nights without thinking ,and found me in a decent clean and quiet room .there are great villas too,all around a huge well designed pool and park ,with flowers ,palms ,big trees of all sorts .Personell is keepin it superclean all the time and they are All very kind (Gambia isby far the kindest place i ever visited ,and i went to soo many countries and all bathrooms are superclean ,food is clean ,people are beautifully dressed ) The free Breakfast has plenty of choices,not over the top ,because this is no huge mega many rooms kinda place . Beach is little walk away wich is another great experience ,best live music ..tuesday afternoons dance group in the palmarima is mindblowing too...

On arrival we were greeted by the most helpful Haddy and her team who looked after us like we were family throughout our entire stay here. Nothing was too much to ask, and all of our requests were dealt with promptly. The property is kept in immaculate condition with large double bedrooms with ensuite facilities, kitchen area, dining area and separate TV area. The property was much much more than was expected and looks better in person. Clean courtyard and in close proximity to the Senegambia strip and craft market. We WILL be back in The Gambia soon and will definitely be re-book to stay here as we had a wonderful stay and would recommend these apartments to anyone 5*****.

The highlights of my stay were easily the staff and the location! This is not a beach side resort, but it is where you will see the true Gambian hospitality. Great conversations were had at the bar and it was so nice to see some of the local families using the pool and having fun. Th location is an easy walk to restaurants and main streets. Every night I walked to get food and back and never once felt unsafe. The room was big! Too big for just me. The place was clean and tidy and to top it off the resident dogs were so sweet and loved pats!

For a small town there were a lot to do some good restaurants clubs weren't my scene but would appeal to others, didn't like the street touts were bit annoying but I understand there need to scrounge.

It's the closest place to the UK that is properly hot in the middle of winter. It's in Africa, so obviously has an African vibe. Once you get used to it it's great. It is a very safe place if you have basic street skills.

Kololi is one of the best place to E even though it is the first and only one I have tried so far in gAmbia , the closeness to it is just vital for survivals Senegambia town beaches and the Resturant called Jamaica Jamaica for some tasty carribbean food ,

A tourist area, it offers all the amenities and a variety of cuisines. Rental cars and taxis are always available, as an alternative to tuk-tuks. A mix of tourist and local life. Solomon Restaurant on the beach is a must, and the adjacent Barracuda beach club is excellent for music and relaxation.

We also took several trips with our taxi driver, Borro. He's very punctual and the prices are fair (euros, dollars, pounds, and dalasi—he accepts everything). The Crocodile Pool, the Gambia River, the fisherman's market (Tanji), the craft market, and more are all highly recommended!

You should definitely leave the hotel occasionally to explore the surrounding area; there are lovely little local restaurants that are much cheaper than the hotel's. The hotel itself was good value for money. The staff, like Mam, Yousufa, Maimouna, Zack, Vaburan, and everyone else, are extremely nice and all deserve a bonus for their friendliness and helpfulness.

Overall a pretty nice place. After reading some of the most recent reviews I was wondering about the pool situation (after booking I did get a notification about ongoing construction still), but during my time there were no more renovations and it was fully functional and clean. Almost all the staff was extremely nice, helpful and professional. The wifi was fine in the bungalow I was staying in, power does cut in and out a lot (and sometimes stayed off for a while) but I doubt that‘s a hotel-specific problem, so no complaints there.

Very nice hotel, large area, lush and well-kept garden. We stayed in a bungalow by the beach, so it was a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Very clean. Nice beach with free sunbeds. There are a lot of restaurants and bars around, there are also a few shops and a fruit stall.
