Wow what a fab location. The lodges sit in a small cove which is perfect for swimming and snorkelling (which we did every day). The place is clean and safe. the staff are excellent. It is literally paradise.

The Room was very cosy, with attention to details. The room had cosy lighting, poasibility to open and close the facilities ccthere small fresh soep in the bathroom. A very comfortable bed and beach towels/blankets. All very handy. The view was really nice, realized to late that we should have taken a evening /morning walk to view the bay . overall super happy

The view! The hotel should be renamed the View as the view doesn't get any better than this. There was everything you needed from air-conditioned bedrooms to a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a rainshower. The bedrooms were simple but beautifully decorated and the beds were as comfortable as clouds as were the pillows. Mosquito nets were also provided. Parking available on site. Hosts were friendly and accomodating and strangely enough you almost started understanding French when listening to the host :). There was a lovely-looking pool on the premises that we did not use because we prefer swimming in the ocean. Location is great right next to the famous Malendure beach and not a long car ride away from Grande Anse which is excellent for swimming laps or beach walks. Overall, we were surprised how beautiful and lush Basseterre is and must come back to spend more time on it and explore the sights and hikes amidst the rainforest. This time we spent more time on Grande Terre which is also beautiful but much more crowded.

Calm, relaxed area.

Calm, relaxed area. Away from all of the pressure of the touristy places or the city. A nice place to unwind and, when desired, well situated to go exploring the west side of the island. You'll need a car and driving around is like playing Mario Kart with the steep and curvy roads. There are many things to see or do within 30 minutes drive or less. A chocolate museum with tastings, a coffee museum, hiking around the neighborhood or up to the volcano or various waterfalls, snorkeling and swimming at the local beaches or scuba diving at the Cousteau reserve and relaxing in the natural hotsprings, of course. And if you are into sunsets, this is a great place for you.

I could stay there forever.

I could stay there forever. You have the great sea life reserve Cousteau, hot baths (in the sea) in Bouillante, natural park just in 10 minutes by car. The disadvantage is that in the area there are not too many quality restaurants or shops. If you are looking for that you need to head in the direction of Grand Terre.

This part of the island is well worth a visit.

This part of the island is well worth a visit. Cultural highlights include the Chocolate House and the Coffee Museum, while sporting opportunities include numerous marked hiking trails and the Soufrière volcano, best explored with a certified guide (Yoann was excellent). Turtle and fish watching between Malendure Beach and the Cousteau Reserve is simply ideal. There are also some great restaurants along the beach.

A peaceful place, not overrun with tourists like Grande Terre. Access to numerous natural spots for swimming or hiking, or visits to farms (vanilla, coffee, rum). A unique feature: the hot springs, as the name suggests.

A small town near the Cousteau Reserve and the famous Malendure beach with its turtles, Bouillante takes its name from the hot springs that flow into the sea. A free thermal spa treatment in a sea bath is not to be missed.

Bouillante is authentic, with waterfalls, a beach where you can see turtles and all kinds of fish, hot springs, hiking trails, and above all, it's in the center of Guadeloupe for sightseeing—no traffic jams! I recommend it.

Comfortable, clean and well-equipped studio with absolutely wonderful views of the Jacques Cousteau Reserve and harbour of Bouillante. Friendly hosts and really a pleasure to stay here. We can only recommend Vue Mer, but bring a car as the access to the site is very, very steep. However, good exercise to walk back and forth to Carrefour :-)

The location is perfectly central in bouillante.. the view is fantastic to the sea and calm area to relax. The house is super spacious. Clean, and with all amenities. Especially to get mosquito nets was a blessing, as we did not have to use any chemical creams and sprays.
