During the 80s when I worked there, it had a bit of a reputation as a Party Place, but totally different now, and quite sophisticated in the centre, with great restaurants and shops. The beaches are very fine shingle. There is a lot of traffic going through so care needed when not on a pavement. Small, place with plenty of restaurants and shops. Restaurants generally offer good value for money, with wide variety of dishes to satisfy everybody's taste. The beaches are nice and clean. Well i had not been to Benitses for over 42 years ,and it was a bit of a shock ! The town looks run down and the beaches are not very good ,too much traffic drives by to get any peace on the beach . The roads are dangerous and busy ,lack of pavements .The old town is better with nice places to eat and drink ,night time is best The restaurant called the Olive was lovely ,the ambiance was relaxing and the food was delicious. There is a good bus service if you want to get about,you can buy bus tickets from some shops .it make it a lot easier. The beach in Benitses is small and pebbly, not sandy.
The beach in Benitses is small and pebbly, not sandy. It offers both equipped areas with sunbeds and umbrellas (two sunbeds and one umbrella cost €12 per day) and free sections. There are showers and toilets available free of charge. The beach is also accessible for people with reduced mobility. Just cross the road and you have shops and services within easy reach. We stayed right in Benitses, and on the days when we didn’t feel like exploring by scooter, we remained there and enjoyed some lovely, relaxing days by the sea.Guest review byValentinaItaly - 8.0

The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly. The rooms are equipped with everything you could wish for and are very clean, serviced daily. The breakfast buffet offers everything you could want, from scrambled eggs to Greek yogurt to Greek specialties. The pool is also fantastic! Also, the food itself was very good! The service was also very friendly. A plus is, that there is a private beach with enough sunbeds for everyone in the hotel (the quality of the water is questionable, because it seems that there is not much movement in the water, also compared to the quality in other places we went to in Corfu).
