Lovely place..the location is quiet if you want a relaxing vacation,this is the Perfect one,We love that the hotel provides various activities and programs both day and night for the guests.Hubby and i enjoyed specially the night with the live band HEADLONG whch we only heard for five minutes because we came late from the Tour.The variety of food they prepare (if given a chance choose their all inclusive offer) their service never stops..Restaurant is always clean You see the hardworking curly boy bringing out fresh And hot plates and utensils..The employees inside the restaurant never leave any empty plate on the table so It always look tidy and clean..The Guys from the Bar they never rest.. Excellent Customer Service from the staffs they go extra Mile.. when i say extra mile i mean it, the moment i stepped in the Hotel smile from the frontdesks will welcome you.. Kudos to Christina nd katerina.. Christina helped us from the beginning till end providing all extra info we may need, Helped us book the tour and make the best decision since we only have limited time of stay( we tried asking for extension from the beginning but they wer fullybooked😪 so we have to mke the best out of what we have.The room we booked without us realizing is flexible ive never heard bout it but yeah sounds disappointing right but NO..WeLOVED IT.. the new room they provided the next day is even more welcoming with A bottle of Wine awaiting🤩🥰.. Twas our last night so i took my bottle of wine Home and will never open for that bottle of Wine for that will always remind me of the Best Experience I had with CRETE...specially its PEOPLE... Would like to thank once again every single Employees of Gouves Bay Hotel to those we see in front and to those who are at the back of the scene,everybody had their own part to take. KUDOS everyOne!! To the owner/s admins of Gouves Bay Hotel..Your People Alone is the Best Investment you've ever had..Congratulations!

From the moment we arrived, everything felt so warm and welcoming. The hotel is Pinterest-vibe beautiful, new, and spotless, very close to the nice beach. The food was delicious and varied, and drinks were amazing. But what truly made our stay special was the amazing team — from Lia at the reception to the restaurant staff, waiters, bartenders, housekeepers, and spa staff — everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help. It felt very cozy and comfortable. We’ll definitely come back again!

Great value for money, room was cleaned perfectly every morning, staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect hotel for a couple chill vacation. Very cosy place with authentic greek vibe. Beautiful gardens with a lot of flowers. As for food, the cuisine is actually various and every day you can choose different dishes, the restaurant staff also were really nice and helpful. 5 mins on foot to the closest beach (great for snoorkeling by the way), ~7 mins to a beach with sand. It is also worth mentioning the pool and the bar by the pool — the drinks were nice and the atmosphere was honestly great. Overall, we are very satisfied with the stay at Hara Ilios Village. We are hoping to come back some day.

Olea suites has an eye for detail, from the smallest design details up until the complete design concept of the garden. The garden was magnificent and as ex-digital nomads we appreciated it a lot. I especially appreciated the fact that the room, being on the ground floor, it was cooler than the rest of the places or any other places we lived on Crete (we went on a longer trip with a few stops).

We stayed at Kato Gouves which is slightly out of Gouves. There are some lovely restaurants and taverna's. We've been many times and like to walk to the beach at Analipsi where there is plenty space.

The restaurants were good and not overpriced.

The restaurants were good and not overpriced. The beaches are over-crowded with sun-loungers. The sun-loungers were costing between 10-20 euros for a set. There is no town as such to wander around.

Our apartment was in Kato Gouves which had several supermarkets and clothes and souvenir shops. There were numerous bars and restaurants too. Our apartment at Fotis Studio Apartments was well located to nearby bus stops that took us into Iraklio and the airport, as well as to other lovely locations.

Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind.

Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind. I'd say it's more appealing for couples rather than young families, but that said, there are some things to keep the kids happy. Beaches are sandy with watersports and there is a waterpark, aquarium and Dinosaur park close by. If you want hussle and bustle, Gouves is not the place for you, it's a laid back resort with most places closing by 1am but a few remain open a bit later. The local people are very friendly and treat you as one of their own.

The Sirroco beach was amazing, Andreas our guy was one of the most amazing guys I ever meet. Also the Island restaurant is great, all the food is amazing. Ask about Irina when you go there, is a great waiter!

I had a wonderful holiday at the golden sunlight with my friends. The hotel is located near the seashore of gouves , everyday the room has been perfectly cleaned and the breakfast is simply amazing . The housekeeper and her family are very kind and gentle and they all pay many attentions to the guest's requests at any time. I am going to advise this hotel to all of my friends and family. This place is even fit to families with children because of it large spaces and swimming pool in the outside garden . Federico from Italy

Everything was perfect! The rooms are better than the pictures, there is everything you need in the apartments including beach towels, supplies in the bathroom and welcome gifts. Also there are games for the children and enough coffee for the parents. The host is very friendly, always available and helpful. There is a supermarket below the hotel and very nice restaurant in the next building. The view from the roof apartment is amazing - the sea and the sunset!

Food was very good, especially Isla restaurant which you could use free once during a week stay. Pools were nice, but littlebit cold in October (for kids). Cleaning every day. All the personal was very helpful and friendly. You have to check out from rooms at 11, but you can stay in hotel and still use pools and eat during the day

Staff was really helpful. Being a vegetarian family, staff specifically Marek helped us every day with the menus at all times of day to ensure we are served with right food. Appreciate his engagement Liked the activities and vibes in the hotel. Rio added energy to the pool area with lovely music all the time Enjoyed my stay
