We stayed in Gouves Bay for 10 days from 21/05/2023 until 01/06/2023. The place is simply fantastic !! Everything was perfect, I can not find any disadvantage. The staff of the hotel is very professional, polite, friendly and helpful. Since we had a 1.5 year old baby with us, who could be loud and messy sometimes - waiters were all the time there trying to help us feed and entertain him. The food was just great, the huge variety of everything - sea food, meat, pasta, vegetables, soups, salads, fresh fruits etc., deserts were amazing - could not stop eating ! Reception girls were smiling all the time and were very helpful when we had some small issues. There were snacks/coffee/tea in the room and a bottle of delicious red wine in the room upon arrival. The Restaurant Maitre Mr. Panagiotis was always there checking if everything goes smoothly, always smiling to all the guests. Waiters were always very polite and very quick, tables were always clean despite that the place was full. Very good organised service and well trained hotel staff. A big 'thank you' for a waiter that had a birthday during our stay and his colleagues brought him a cake in front of all restaurants guests - that was really warm and sweet. Unfortunately I do not remember his name. The Barman Nikos was very helpful. Great cocktails, positive vibes and great sense of humour. Some nights were animation programme, the best for us was a Rock night. Location of the hotel is perfect if you don't search for a loud music clubs. Shops, restaurants, super markets and beach is located next to hotel. 15 min from Heraklion and 10 min from Hersonissos (by car). All in all, our stay in Gouves Bay happens to be above our expectations. A big Thank you to all the hotel team, you are doing a great job !! We hope to come back again !!

This hotel is one of the best hotels so far. It is a new hotel with great staff. The rooms are very luxurious, the same goes for the outdoor area, the pools. The cocktails are so so so good! As for the food, it is a very refined cuisine. For certain dishes you have to be a fan of cinnamon, which is typical for Greece. This hotel is ideal if you want to relax. If we may explain small tips: we had room 1001 and missed a few wall hooks or coat racks outside the closet or shower. There is a small pouf but no mirror at seat height. We also missed a long mirror to look at outfits. These are not a must, but can be a positive addition. We want to thank Alexander for the great service and great conversations. We really enjoyed our time there. A big thank you!

Great value for money, room was cleaned perfectly every morning, staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect hotel for a couple chill vacation. Very cosy place with authentic greek vibe. Beautiful gardens with a lot of flowers. As for food, the cuisine is actually various and every day you can choose different dishes, the restaurant staff also were really nice and helpful. 5 mins on foot to the closest beach (great for snoorkeling by the way), ~7 mins to a beach with sand. It is also worth mentioning the pool and the bar by the pool — the drinks were nice and the atmosphere was honestly great. Overall, we are very satisfied with the stay at Hara Ilios Village. We are hoping to come back some day.

We were looking for accommodation with a lovely garden, outside of busy roads, with sounds of nature, secluded in an olive tree plantation, looking modern with all the necessary amenities. This is what we got along with a parking space for our rented car. The apartment was perfect as a home base after a day-long Crete exploration. It really felt like home.
