Lavrion is a pleasant town that seems to have been spruced up quite a lot in recent years. While well off the tourist trail - most travellers on pass through to catch a ferry - it is a nice place to chill and relax. There a lots of nice cafes and restaurants serving authentic food. You won't find any "tourist menu" posted outside. Sophia the owner was lovely and prepared a really nice breakfast for us to enjoy in the morning. She started communicating with us before we arrived so she could make sure she was there to greet us on arrival. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
