You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants. Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses,churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. The villa is apparently over 100 years old, every detail is unique to it and feels special. Definetly the one we’ll remember from the whole Greece trip. Surrounding town is well worth a visit, cosy and quiet during the day, the town square gets lively at dinner time. Loved our stay in the villa and the kids loved the pool. The rooms and the swimming pools are really beautiful and clean. The position is perfect, near the port and Fira but away from the crowd. Megalochori is also very nice and hosts one of the very few traditional kafeneios in Santorini.
