Lovely apartment with great views across the harbour. Sami is a perfect location for accessing the rest of the island. There are several good restaurants - we can recommend Tereza, Deco and Il Familia in particular. We are hikers and the island has lots of trails with fantastic views over hills, valleys and the sea; an abundance of wildflower meadows was a major bonus. Try the small maritime museum just outside Sami : the owner has built a fantastic collection of replica boats of the past 3000 years.

Immaculately clean and tidy as serviced every day, super comfy large bed with very plumped pillows, we stayed in Room 1 of which the rooms were very spacious, a really lovely calm, quiet and airconditioned retreat to chill out in after a hot day :) lots of storage space, very well equipped kitchen, absolutely everything you need for a very comfortable stay, highly recommended :)

Nonna was perfect. Spotless, comfortable, modern, well located. Couldn't fault it at all. Zacharias is a lovely, friendly, welcoming host. The interior was beautifully designed. It felt very luxury and was the perfect place to come back to after long days exploring the island. Extremely comfortable beds, kitchen had everything required, lovely little outdoor space, useful utility, comfy sofa and large TV, great bathrooms. Sami is so charming and the perfect location in our opinion. It's central and easy to get to all the highlights Kefalonia has to offer. There is a great selection of restaurants and shops, the local people are friendly. It has a relaxed, authentic vibe. We loved it.

The place was very covenient and comfort to stay. There is a supermarket 5-10 minutes driving in a very quiet neigbourhood with nice garden. The host was a very frienly person very responsive with his messages and gave us very useful things like water shampoos and washing machine tablets.

Sami was my favourite location on Kephalonia...

Sami was my favourite location on Kephalonia...I scooted round the island but feel Sami is the most laid back. I liked the bit of beach where the locals swam. The food was good at all the restaurants and I particularly enjoyed drinking in the evening at the blues bar. The only thing that tainted my stay was when on the last day just before I was about to drop my scooter off the police pulled me over for not having an helmet on...and gave me a huge fine of £335. Man all the locals were scooting round without helmets...how come I got whacked? Nice place though

Sami was a great place to stay!

Sami was a great place to stay! We had 4 nights and wanted to stay longer. Very nice little town, we stayed in a great hotel, near a lovely little beach, great promenade and just enough restaurants and shops. You could go for day trips to other beaches, caves and to Ithaka, hire a boat or just stay and relax!

The location is perfect.

The location is perfect. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, just a short walk from beaches with crystal-clear water and no crowds, making it a peaceful getaway. Melissani Lake and Drogarati Caves are both nearby and worth visiting.

It’s a very nice town that has a more locals living there...

It’s a very nice town that has a more locals living there feeling. The terrain is wonderful. Sami beach was wonderful the restaurant on Sami beach was wonderful. The acropolis of Sami was a highlight of our three week trip. The Contessa restaurant in Sami was great. And everyday we traveled to a different part of the island. Views everywhere spectacular.

Lovely small harbour town.

Lovely small harbour town. Long beaches , with beautiful clear water. Lovely vibe in the evening peak season and could walk a few minutes along the front and have a beach to ourselves. A couple of good bars and great restaurants.

Sami is a great location for a family holiday.

Sami is a great location for a family holiday. Low key and traditional, maintaining its Greek heritage. Lots of family-run businesses and a popular stop for overnight yachts. Lots of very good restaurants to choose from and mini-markets for self-catering.

Great location! First time to Kefalonia and we loved Sami, and it's position for visiting neighbouring towns and the north of the island. Similarly, we loved the position of Remezzo Apartments within Sami as it was a short, easy walk to get everywhere within the town. We arrived by ferry from Zakynthos into Sami and walked with our luggage straight to the hotel (no more than 8 mins walk). Also, room was very clean.

Clean, cozy and well equiped studio with a nice terrace in a nice villa surounded by a big beautiful garden, very welcoming host. Strongly recommend for families or single travelers. Bus stop oposite the house in front of Pericles hotel. Not too far from the center and port of Sami, about 10 min walk.

Fabulous sea front hotel ,spotless everywhere and lovely light rooms . Very friendly staff . Good selection of food for breakfast. Loved our stay we have now booked 3 more nights . Easy reach to walk along sea front to restaurants in Sami . Lovely beach in front of hotel to relax on their sunbeds .

We have stayed at Karavomilos camping several times and we love the spot near Sami, the beach and a short trip to Antisamos. The camp sites area with pool and poolbar/restaurant is perfect for us as a family travelling with kids.
