This has been my favourite stay in Guatemala. The space is extremely conducive to relaxation and gentle socialising. The wifi doesn't really work, but I think that's what makes this place special (if you really need wifi you can ask or kayak to a nearby restaurant - which also has great cerviche). Lots of time spent doing yoga, swimming, sitting in hammocks, playing cards and eating as a family. The staff are incredible (thanks Tim) and the vegetarian food served is amazing with large portions. Definitely recommend getting the massage too. I can't wait to come back

Fantastic secluded getaway along the river. Great base for exploring Rio Dulce and Livingston. Very comfortable and charming. And not to forget: excellent food!

When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Finca Tatin is a beautiful place to stay! It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle but you’re also right next to the river. They have family dinners every night which is a good time to meet new people and the staff are soooooo nice!

With Ribera Rio Dulce Beach reachable in a few steps, Casa Maya provides accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a private beach area and a bar. Free WiFi is provided.

The hotel is run by Gershon, Martha, and Ingrid. They are really friendly and help you when you need anything. They are the only locals who run a hotel there, all other hotels are run by foreigners or from the city, personally it made the experience better The food is good and portions big. The room is big and had WiFi, the beds are comfortable. The hotel is basic, but you are in the jungle. The problem with te toiletseats will be solved soon 😉 The hotel is located at the Rio dulce River and you can enjoy the sunset at the hotel or just take one of the kayaks.. The place is very beautiful and relaxing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good. Too bad we didn't have more days to stay there.

Julio was lovely and the place is as shown. A lovely basic homestay in the middle of nowhere. We were basically the only people staying when we came which was lovely but I can imagine it could feel crowded if it was busy. There's a small shop 2 mins walk through the jungle where you can buy staples but only occasionally has fruit/veg. You're in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do apart from admiring the beauty around you, perfect for what we wanted but don't expect lots to do! Can go swimming in the river.

Everything :) especially the atmosphere, the hosts and the volunteers were extremely helpful and friendly! The beds were Confy, watching the sunrise from the bedroom and the stars from the trampoline just amazing. The owner Ismael did not stop to help us with our Belice day trip. (it was amazing) Thank you :) So anyone who wants to volunteer long or shortterm in a familiar atmosphere :this is your place :) would have loved to do that!
