Excellent hotel, superb location, stylish building, quiet leafy street, super comfortable firm mattresses, competent and helpful staff, super secure courtyard parking (if you have a very big car, it may be difficult to drive in through the entrance, but works for a mid-size SUV without any issues). There is a pool table, a chess board, and a very nice gym with a dumbell rack and pairs of dumbells going up to 25kg - you could have a proper workout! The breakfast and the coffee was also impeccable.

Very clean rooms and sizeable! Give it was three of us, we had a very comfortable stay. Plenty of parking, although it is summertime. The restaurant in the hotel is exceptional, which we did not expect given the late dinner we've had.

The city center is very pretty, full of flowers in the parks...

The city center is very pretty, full of flowers in the parks and nice cafes all around. We really liked the market with all the local produce. There are really nice little shops on Rakoczi Street. Many restaurants offer a 2 course menu at lunch time for really great price. The Benko Zoltan Park is a great place to go walking, running or to have a pic-nick The big hill in the middle has a great view from the top. The city has a very nice atmosphere and perfect choice for a long weekend away.

We stopped here on our way back from Greece.

We stopped here on our way back from Greece. We were only in the center, which we were excited about! The central squares are connected. There is a beautiful Art Nouveau town hall, an Art Nouveau palace and several churches of different denominations. But what surprised us the most was the amount of greenery and fountains, which was very refreshing in the summer heat.

A very pretty small town with interesting architecture.

A very pretty small town with interesting architecture. We were there because a relative was in the local (very good) hospital, but the stay was very pleasant, the people friendly and the food good and varied. We got free travel to and from the hospital because of our age!

If you want away from the mass tourism, small town, small problems, cheap local food, very nice local market. train is cheap but the service is not too good quality, old cars and no AC, delays. Architecture is typical hungarian country side. In summer could be very hot.

For the European soccer contest 2024 the town set up two huge screens in the park, there were table and chairs, also shade and food stalls. The atmosphere was great. I had been recommended the restaurant Leves`M by a friend and ended up eating there three times. Great food and lovely and helpful staff (I don't speak much Hungarian).

Kecskemét is full of Art Nouveau buildings, museums,...

Kecskemét is full of Art Nouveau buildings, museums, expecially about painting, history and design. I've been lucky to stay in this city just during a music/folk/theatre festival at the end of August. Moreover, at half hour of car there is the "puszta" of Bugac, with an open air museum of traditional peasant life, included horse shows.

The hotel has a great location right in the city center, which is beautiful (lots of greenery, water features, churches of various denominations, Art Nouveau architecture...). The rooms are smaller, but quite adequate. Everything was clean, the staff at the reception was kind. The hotel only has 15 parking spaces in the garage, but parking on the street in front of the hotel was no problem (free parking on weekends).

Nice hotel in Kecskemét! The staff is super friendly and rooms are clean. It is situated in calm neighborhood at 5 km from the city center of the town. There are plenty of parking lots. It is a perfect hotel for business travelers.

Absolutely everything. Spacious room, comfy bed and super soft bedding, large and very clean bathroom. This was our second time staying here and we will be back again for sure. Gaia is our favourite Hungarian hotel.
