We had one of the family rooms which had a double bed and a single bed on the ground floor, and two-single beds in an alcove at the end of a long ladder. The beds were really comfortable and I especially liked the large window which let in a lot of light. The staff was always just a phone call away – we arrived late and had to pick up a key card from a secret location. The kitchen is in a common area with a very long table and some comfy-looking sofas. The guest house has a superb location, in the middle of the small town of Zirc with just a few-minute walk away from many restaurants, the arboretum, and the abbey. It's at the gate of the mountainous range of Bakony, so we could drive or take the train to trailheads easily. We had a wonderful time!

This was such a random booking, on our way to the other side of Hungary, but it was fun! There are several Yurts in - what seems like - the backyard of the restaurant. All fitted with several bunk beds, not double beds. The shared bathroom facilities are modern and clean.

The town of Zirc is in a very beautiful location and the...

The town of Zirc is in a very beautiful location and the Cistercian Abbey is a very impressive baroque building complex. We would like to return, we still have many tours and excursions in this area. We arrived for four days around New Year's Eve, unfortunately the time was too short.

Zirc is a nice, welcoming town.

Zirc is a nice, welcoming town. There is a café, a sweet shop and a bakery on the main street; the coffee and cakes are always great there. The sellers are kindly interested in the new guest. It has a lot of traffic, the locals seem to like it too. The prices are reasonable. I recommend everyone to take a look if you are in the area. The other is the Cistercian abbey church, a must-see.

Wonderful countryside.

Wonderful countryside. We visited the following places: Csesznek Castle, Úrkut ancient karst, Gánt old bauxite mine, Bakonyszentlászló Cuha Valley, Bakonybél starry sky, Zirci Abbey natural history museum. Veszprém Zoo. Everything is easily accessible by car, there are no long distances.

The abbey can be a whole day's program, besides the church,...

The abbey can be a whole day's program, besides the church, the library is definitely worth visiting, because it is beautiful! The natural history museum has a bit of an old-fashioned feel, but is very spectacular, almost all ages can spend an hour here. And the arboretum is worth a pleasant walk!

Excellent place, 4 stars plus. The only thing missing on the gallery is a wardrobe, at least two valets would be needed if the wardrobe cannot be solved. We were there in winter, so -obviously- the wellness was not available.

Very good location for our purpose of visiting Bakonybel and Zirc. Very kind and helpful hosts (a couple). Nice two bedrooms with very good beds and excellent blinds. Large bathroom with good kitchen and dinning room. Designated parking place at the street, in the front of the house. If we visit the area again, most probably will stay at the same place.

Very nice accomodation in a quiet neighbourhood of Zirc, nicely furnished and cousy. Owners speak only hungarian, but we quickly managed to settle all questions. Shops and restaurants in a 10min walking distance. Freshly squezed lemon juice was a nice welcoming touch.
